Our best friend and bassist, Douglas James Haney, passed away in February. We could never keep this project going without him. Our final show as Malignant Tide will be on August 1st, 2009. Please come out and celebrate his life with us!

Condemn the Infected	May 4 2009 10:00 PM what the fuck? if you dont mind me asking, what happened? about 4 years ago, i met doug over xanga, we were in some group together about metal or something. i left comments over that shit and eventually we started talking about metal over aim. he was totally into the misfits and behemoth and all that kind of shit, just like me. and we would talk shit about core kids...so we basically had a lot in common. there were long periods we would go never talking, but when we talked again it seemed like our minds had opened at the same time. we talked about drugs, bass, music, how our opinions of the people at shows changed, i told him i hate number 12, he said he loved them. turns out now nuclear sad nuclear is one of my favorite albums... i remember his old band, him telling me how it was going, and when he left...and then when malignant tide started. he told me about how great dylan was, how sick the shit you were writing was. he sent me the first demo you guys did, i still have that shit on my ipod. killer music, killer vocals, killer drums, just a little rough production wise..but who cares about that? i made all my friends listen to it and i told them if one band i see coming up has any talent it was this one. he cut his hair and told me everyone gave him a bunch of shit, i said fuck that. we always said we were going to trade shows one day, get him down here to md and us up to pa and just have a crazy time partying and playing music, chill in person for once. or maybe even do a tour on the east coast. but it just never happened. im sorry for your loss guys, and it just fucking blows my mind. he was a great dude, all the times i talked to him and im sad i lost touch with him over time.
