What started out as a dream by Joe Maloof to make the Maloof Money Cup the greatest skateboard contest in history became reality on July 13th 2008. As the last group of finalists skated the famous replica of the Hollywood High stairs, every spectator was on their feet when the intense competition came to an end. For all the excitement, nothing was more gratifying than seeing the crowd on the edge of their seat, mesmerized by every trick landed and pained by every fall. The overwhelming response from the crowd was awe, amazement and excitement about the future of professional skateboard events. It was the greatest collection of skaters ever assembled to compete on the most fantastic concrete skate plaza ever built for a single contest. Each skater had nothing but positive remarks to say about their involvement with the 1st ever Maloof Money Cup! .. ..
