About me:

As the last group of finalists skated the famous replica of the Hollywood High stairs, every spectator was on their feet when the intense competition came to an end. For all the excitement, nothing was more gratifying than seeing the crowd on the edge of their seat, mesmerized by every trick landed and pained by every fall. The overwhelming response from the crowd was awe, amazement and excitement about the future of professional skateboard events. It was the greatest collection of skaters ever assembled to compete on the most fantastic concrete skate plaza ever built for a single contest. Each skater had nothing but positive remarks to say about their involvement with the 1st ever Maloof Money Cup! .. ..

"Pro skaters, listen up. It seems there is some serious money about to be thrown your way. The bar has been raised considerably for what has previously been considered the largest purse in skateboarding competition..."

from Extreme365.com

"Hmmmm $400,000 in payouts for a skate competition? Jeebus that's like a rapper's first record contract type money. Well apparently the Maloof Brothers (the ones that brought you the Palms Casino and the Sacramento Kings) are planning to pay out that much in their Maloof Money Cup..."

TRANSWORLD SKATEBOARDING ARTICLE TO EASE SKATERS MINDS:
"...To skip the PR spin, I headed straight to the source: Joe Maloof, chief backer of the Money Cup. In the following conversation, I think nearly every question from the jaded, inquiring minds of skateboarders has been answered. Skate skeptics may be surprised, rather pleasantly. —Carleton Curtis"
