    Malus Rex (“Evil King” in Latin) was formed in 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada with the purpose of writing good solid heavy metal in its purest form. The band recorded their 1st demo in October, 2008 which was untitled but featured a great start for the band. At this time Malus Rex began playing local live shows where the band was received by great responses and has become one of the best kept secrets in Las Vegas’ underground metal scene. In April 09, the band recorded their 2nd demo entitled “Apparition of the Evil King” and so far getting some good responses out of it. Malus Rex is Oscar Calito (vocals), Brandon Gulling (guitars), Jeff Pritz (lead guitar), Kevin Morris (bass) and Juan Calavera (drums). There is a lot ahead for Malus Rex and the band is making its mark in spreading the spirit of true heavy metal in its purest form! .. .. ..
