General
A student again! I've rediscovered my passion for service, and am pursuing my vocation as a counselor. Volunteering for a couple of years has helped clarify that for me. Member at Unity--what an amazing church, a wonderful concept! As for being rough sports!--I'm done with roller derby. Right now, it's tennis! In a summer league, and playing in a double tourney soon! I'm a 4.0 and enjoy being aggressive on the court. Also have learned patience and keep a rally going, using all the singles strategies in my doubles games. They work!
I haven't had as much time devoted to it, but I still love scrapbooking. I used to facilitate a good-sized monthly sober group. I'd like to find time at least once a month to scrap, but haven't since I've been single. Love to teach. I've taught 3rd/4th for 6 years, but have moved on to other good experiences.
I love listening to music, and taking my media device w/ me. I still enjoy volunteering, but have moved that to a healthier balance in my life.
As a single working mom, one of my goals has been to spend more time with my kids. Connecting and just enjoying out time together. This is at the Renaissance Festival. We chose not to dress up this time. It was the day after Halloween.

Comedy--good ones, romantic comedy. My tastes have changed. Less dark, more fluff, good messages. Juno, Yes Man, the Proposal, He's Just Not that Into You, Imagine Me & You, But I'm a Cheerleader, Idiocracy. Home for the Holidays still rocks. Still love the non-modern pieces--Cousin Bette, Gone with the Wind, Vanity Fair, Pride and Prejudice(any movie version, but the 2005 is really earthy and dynamic), Dangerous Liasons; thrillers, but not horror; movies w/ something to say, even if it's simple, American Beauty, Danny Deckchair, Working Girl (corny, I know), Home for the Holidays, 50 First Dates (It's so sweet, We can all use a little sweet.) old Hitchcock movies, new ones styled like his approach..
Television
If it's on the internet, then I may watch it. Don't own a tv now or have cable, and that's cool. Lost, old Arrested Development, the Office, 30 Rock, Flight of the Concords.
Books
Lots of text books for school! When I have time thrillers, sci-fi, fantasy. For now, Bob Mandel relationship, Sacred Contracts by C. Myss, No More Letting Go, Healing the Child Within, A Course in Miracles, Conversations with God, Alice Walker, Maya Angelou. AND of course my text books research for college classes.....

Enjoy sharing laughs, long conversations, common interests, a sense of humor, slightly dark humor, and a HUGE heart, hugs, mutual support, having spiritual conversations, sharing our lives through favorite activities, respecting our different interests, supporting another in our growth. Avoiding any negative comments or "catty comments." I think I have that in my close friends, so I'm very lucky!
Favorite colors	WHITE when I have a dark tan. Blood red and rich black...Cotton candy pink. Starting to like baby blue. It looks nice on my skin.

Number of Tattoos:	none yet. Still haven't found the right image to permanently mark on my body. Until then, it's just henna.
