Mission:
“Sowing together”; creating and connecting for a fairer and more sustainable future.
Vision:
Our products are currently made in Toronto but our aim is to have our clothes made in fair trade community workshops by local women in Angola, Africa, and sold to conscious shoppers in foreign and local markets. These workshops will unite opportunity and organization, as centres for the learning and promotion of sustainability, in production, trade, agriculture and community, and become models for future Mama Muxima workshops around the world.
About me: Mama Muxima:
(mu-she-ma) a mother's heart in Kimbundu, an African dialect of Angola.
Mama Muxima combines African and sustainable fabrics to make unique quality apparel for women and children, in support of women and children.
Who I'd like to meet: You!
Interested in fair trade, sustainability and the world!
Let us know about festivals we can sell at, stores that would be willing to carry our creations or custom orders.
