Bicycling, substitute teaching in high schools, reading (anything from Shakespeare to Patricia Cornwell), the internet, television (especially satelite), cooking (any and every kind as long as it's vegetarian), DVD's, NPR, KSYM, Geology ROCKS, metallurgy, glass, kaleidoscopes (I made them for over 20 years), welding, clay, sculpture with lots of found objects, the environment, Yoga, ballet, tap and jazz.
Music
LOVE IT ALL. Some more than others but there's rock, old rock 'n roll, jazz, New Orleans Jazz, classical, new classical, rhythm and BLUES, New Orleans Blues, and yes rap and hip hop too.
Movies
LOVE 'EM especially the ones on Sundance and The Independent Film Channel as well as old black and white classics. Oh and foreign films where I can learn French, Italian, Chinese, Portugese, Spanish and anything else spoken in those faraway
places.
Television
Grey's Anatomy, Lost, Monk, Dead Like Me, Martha Stewart (Hey, you gotta problem with that?), Jimmie Kimmel, Animal Planet, Discovery, National Geographic PBS BBC America and CNN (there!)
Books
Adventure, Mystery, Science Fiction, Poetry and whatever catches my fancy depending on what I'm in the mood to read.
Heroes
My husband Stephen, who works tirelessly to make the planet a better place to live and anyone else who tries their best to do what's right.

I love people, all kinds, all ages, it doesn't matter, and I'm really getting the hang of this MySpace thing! What about me? I don't know. What do I say outloud to everyone or anyone who might be reading this? OK, I'm a 62 year old woman. But really I don't feel like that's what I am because still fresh in my mind is the day I graduated from kindergarten into the first grade. I had my picture taken in the white dress with the ruffled skirt that I wore as I narrated the program of "Three Billy Goats Gruff" which my class was performing that day in June of 1950 at John Dibert Elementary. I got a really big doll from my Aunt Josie who was Daddy's oldest sister and also my nannan (which means godmother in Italian). She was married to my Uncle Frank, my perran (godfather) and they both ran Frank's Steak House on Freret St. My godparents were great to have back in the fifties, I mean, they were always good for five dollars on any occassion plus there was the restaurant where I could take my high school friends after school since I went to Fortier High School which was on Freret St., too. When I was fifteen, my godparents sponsored me in the Krewe of Freret Annual Carnival Ball where I had my coming out as a Pineapple because the ball had an Hawaiian theme that year. I still have the picture of me taken in a gold satin, sequined gown with a huge green toulle flounce and a sequined headdress that weighted a ton! My escort was a college boy who wore a mask and was named Schylar. I fell instantly in love with him and never understood why he didn't even ask for my phone number. He danced and joked with me a lot, though. I even had a dance card and other college boys danced with me too. So, no, I don't feel like a 62 year old woman, I think I'll always be that kid who loved Mardi Gras.
