Heavy soul, crushing beats and the dirtiest riffs anchor the sound of Mama’s Cookin’. Their style is as much Led Zeppelin as it is The Roots. Smooth but edgy, driven by current themes with an essential nod to the great music of the past.
The band creates music that could only come from the modern age. The rock-solid drumming/sampling of Mike Adamo and resonant bass work of Steve LaBella build a foundation for Mama’s Cookin’. The ultimate front man, Zebuel Early is both charismatic and articulate. Hailing from the musical center of America’s Southern Delta and working late nights in Memphis Blues clubs, Zeb came by his gritty slide guitar work honestly.
Moonlighting as a Dub/Crunk/Funk DJ has only added to the inspiration of this Rock & Roll Project.
Add the nasty keyboard wizardry of Mr. Eric Matlock and watch the sound waves unfold. Songs of true beauty and deep intention, crafted with unique and timely lyrics, leave a lasting impression.
Mama’s Cookin’ chose New York City to record their latest album. The team that created the self-titled project features award-winning producer Chuck Zwicky (Prince/Jeff Beck) along with special guests Maya Azucena (Stephen Marley), and producer Pete Miser (Dido). As one reviewer put it "This album hits like a ton of bricks wrapped in velvet." Mama's Cookin's sole objective is to create
music that moves: Songs that are inspirational both in the headphones and on the dance floor. And if it ain't dirty, It ain't Mama's Cookin'.

Thanks a lot for the add ! EletriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check EletriKa out!
