WENDY JOSEPH (Formerly Wendy Stoker) Most famous for managing her daughter, the world- renowned JOSS STONE . Wendy’s introduction to the music business was very much a baptism of fire. She was thrown in at the deep end and had to learn to swim very quickly. During the three years spent travelling around the globe with Joss, she has gained first hand experience in dealing with all aspects of the music business. Steering her daughter’s career from conception to stardom, she has shown that talent, hardwork and the right breaks will bring success. As co-writer of the worldwide hit single YOU HAD ME, Wendy secured her own publishing deal with BMG Publishing in 2004. She continues to manage,write and collaborate with other artists and writer/producers. She also works together with BMG Publishing to find and develop new writers.
JONATHAN JOSEPH Jonathan hails from Miami, Florida. Arrived on the shores of the UK in 2003 as Joss Stone’s Musical Director and Drummer. Prior to working with Joss Jonathan has enjoyed a successful career as a Grammy Award winning musician. He has worked with high profile Jazz and Pop Artists across the globe, including celebrated artists such as Ricky Martin, Al Jarreau, Pat Metheny, Betty Wright, Joe Zawinul, David Sanborn, Alexander O’Niel and the Yellow Jackets. From the tender age of 6 yrs old Jonathan’s musical career of 34 yrs has been celebrated in many countries. As well as being master of his own instrument he has extensive experience as a Musical Director, Producer and Writer. For 9 years Jonathan held the post of Head of the Jazz Drums Department at Florida International University and many students who have studied under him have gone on to achieve great success in the industry. Why Mama Stone’s ? Wendy & Jonathan have been approached by many young artists who passionately want to further their careers in the music industry but have no idea what they should be doing, who they should be talking to or how they go about it... Parents that wish to see their children achieve their full potential have also sought Wendy's and Jonathan's advice, guidance and professional services.. The Academy will hold auditions giving everyone an opportunity demonstrate their ability and talent, focusing on young people who want to progress their careers as solo artists and others who demonstrate strong song writing skills and hope to secure a publishing contract. Through the Academy, Wendy & Jonathan will offer weekly classes where the students will be coached in vocal technique ( not the traditional singing lessons) studio skill's, writing, and live performance. "We work torwards having our students "gig in a club with real musicians behind them singing songs that are their own!"
Mama Stone's Live Music Venue will be bringing international, national and local artists to the stage.

Hello there Mama Stone's I have to thank you for the enjoyable evening I had at your open mic night on sunday 23rd of August. I have a signed band who I am doing a pop promo for who are staying in the area for 2 weeks. I e-mailed you asking if full bands were aloud to attend and play,or is it restricted! I also play the drums in a real good blues band and was wondering if we could all attend this sundays 'Blues and Jazz jam session'? It would be nice to know if we could all attend to support this event. Obviously Jams have to be managed. Maybe you could check out Blue Swayed Blues on lemonrock and check out Hitchhikers on www.myspace.com/bandhitchhikers, if its ok message us back and we will be there.
