My name is Mambo Enka, I am the founder of The Marie Laveau Society and the Administrator on voodoocan.ning.com. Unfortunately sometimes Myspace disables links to Ning sites no matter how you code your site, so copy and paste the url in your browser that is on the banner if the text links don't re-direct. I don't put a whole lot of time here on Myspace, because I spent my time on the voodoocan ning forum, talking about the beautiful path of Vodou, I have my students, organize events (I do Ancestral Workshops) This is now an exclusive course on voodoocan.ning.com and I am designing my own Oracle card deck, so my page here is mainly to encourage you to join the Voodoo Forum, plus I have a few die hard myspace friends here that I keep in touch with who refuse to be on facebook or any other social networking site..LOL

I was initiated in Haitian Vodou as Mambo Sur Pwen by tenth generation Houngan Asgowe Jean Kent. I will always be in his house, he is a wonderful friend and I consider him my Father, have learned so many amazing things thru his guidance.
God has placed truth, above all. The Vedas and other ancient scriptures describe God as the embodiment of eternal truth. And truth creates success, for one who speaks the truth and lives according to truthful principles is successful in whatever he does. This is because truth evokes will-power. A person in a struggle, for example, who lives and speaks the truth, will automatically have the will-power to win that struggle. Therefore truth, with its attendant will-power and success, is the first spiritual principle I follow.
I believe the path of Vodou is a gateway to communicate with my ancestors and to link towards spirits from all over and crossed over to other branches of faiths. Vodou is a melting pot (at least originally) to communicate with all spirits. This was my starting point and I will always serve the Lwa's and all spirits faithfully. I walk the path with all spirits.
I am a non-traditional Hindu in the Shakti Tradition, the Shakti path recognises and worships the divine feminine as a manifestation of God, my first discovery of connection towards a spiritual path was and still is thru Kali Ma. Some people are unaware to the fact that Vodou can be assimilated with other paths besides Christianity. Vodou is in every path! I respect all paths as it leads to the same source. I am not walking a dual path because in the end there is no duality, there is just God!

There are so many long standing friends! My Godfather Jean Kent, Nancy, Dawayne, Axel, and Papa Bones. My Guru's. My Mom who still guides me. My husband's family. Who have made such a positive and huge impression on my life, I am so grateful, and as I reflect on this year, I have been truly blessed by love, honor, fraternity, loyalty and happiness. I received Shaktipat initiation and it was a turning point to live life to the fullest and I am a student of Tantra Yoga, and am studying Ayurveda medicine. King David used to take care of the animals, he liked to dance and play the harp and no one ever thought that he would be King! So where my Davids at? Esther went from nothing to being the Queen. Where my Esthers at? Yes people, you are worth more than diamonds and gold, for we are Kings and Queens of this universe!
At times your own family will flip on you. Did you know that Joseph’s own brothers sold him into slavery but Joseph still became King? No man or woman can stop what you are destined to be! There are pawns planted on this chessboard as a distraction, for if you pay close attention to the game, you will checkmate.
Life is like a race. When someone sees that you are about to take the lead that is when they plant hurdles to slow you down. People who are supposed to encourage you are the ones discouraging you because their ego will not allow them to let you get ahead of them. Ego breeds jealousy. I say to you, there are those that celebrate your birthday but when you turn around they curse the date of your birth. If we practice humility towards each other, we will soon learn the more humble we are, the more we all will accomplish together.
I was born for a purpose, and so were you. Stay with me. We must be humble but not naïve.
War is not the answer but if anyone comes in to your house to kill your wife and child, would you not defend them with your life? So let us strive to be humble and be peacemakers first for this is the way of Christ, Muhammad, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, etc.
