Hmmmmm... I liked "Vertical Limit", "Driving Miss Daisy", "Silence of the Lambs", "Reefer Madness"... more recently "Blood Diamonds", love Djimon Honsou but didn't really care for "Amistad". "Braveheart" was fun as a historical costume epic but Mel Gibson has gone way over the top (as if we didn't know).
Television
The Shield! Gotta love those anti-heros. The Closer, I just love Brenda, I admit it. Discovery or TLC disaster epics, you know - "What Will Happen When The Big Asteroid Hits The Earth", "1000 Feet of Sea Water In New York Thanks To Global Warming", that kind of thing.

The Long Walk, by Slavomir Rawicz - if you haven't read it take my advice and find a copy. Anything by Dean Koontz.
