During 2004 Mam Tor™ Publishing was established by Liam & Christina McCormack-Sharp to publish "Sharpenings, The Art of Liam Sharp".
Mam Tor™ went on to publish the critically acclaimed and award-winning anthology "Event Horizon" - two trade paperback anthologies, showcasing the finest underground, fantasy, horror and science fiction in a unique mix of comics and illustrated text stories by some of the finest names in the industry, and the rising stars of tomorrow.
Their latest books are Matt Coyle's mesmerizing labour of love, "Worry Doll", an illustrated story, and Liam Sharp's tribute to 1970's european comics, "Lap of the Gods".
MamTor have also produced a well-recieved CD anthology produced by various of their contibutors - "EH?". They are also producing their first movie, featuring the MamTor mascot, Viking Zombie Elvis.
Mam Tor are dedicated to producing creator driven works that might not ordinarily find a home on the bookshelf - their being too niche, radical or unquantifiable - despite the evident quality and commitment they display. Mam Tor™ has not been created as a commercial venture, but as a forum for subcultural, underground, science fiction, horror or fantasy artists. There are no fees for the work produced, nor are there the usual editorial restrictions.

OK, THIS is BIG news for us - Mam Tor Publishing Ltd. has collaborated with Mother (London) Advertising Ltd. to produce a 16 page quarterly comic inside the London edition of "Time Out" magazine (March 19th 2008). It's called "Four Feet From a Rat" and features four London-centric stories; "The Crane Gods" and cover illustrated by me, "The Little Guy" by Chris Weston, "Routemaster" by Dave Kendall, and "Don Pigeone" by Kev Crossley. All the scripts were provided by Mother.
This is a great chance to take this kind of work to a whole new audience, there are plans to collect the stories into a single book later on, and we're planning on including other big name creators in future editions.
Copies of the comic will be available at the Bristol Expo in May also.
So if you're London based keep an eye out!
We'll also have copies of the comic at the Bristol con.
