MAMWF began in 1994 following a collaboration in 1993 between David Weston and Tony Winn. Recruiting David's pals from Osiris, Ron Bennett and Bill Pritchard to be the rhythm section plus Alison Byrne to join Tony on vocals. the band gigged frequently between 1994 and 1997 playing mostly original songs by Tony with the odd classic and blues number thrown in.
