Media Action Network for Asian Americans's Blurbs |
About me:
MANAA: The Media Action Network for Asian Americans.
MANAA is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization.
Formed in 1992, it has pushed the television and
motion picture industries to include more Asian
Americans in their projects and educated Hollywood
about the stereotypes that have often plagued the APA
community.
Since 1999, MANAA, along with organizations like the
NAACP, the National Hispanic Media Coalition, and East
West Players, has met with the top four television
networks (ABC,CBS,NBC, and Fox) to press for more
people of color in their writing, producing, directing
and acting departments.

Who I'd like to meet:
College students, young professionals, or business people who are interested in supporting diversity in the media and have a passion for supporting the Asian American community.
