I started making music on a 4-channel tape recorder in 2001. This resulted in my first dub/illbient (whatever that is..) record "Terminalbuggar" later the same year. I took (actually stole) the name Managern from a local drunk who claimed he was The Manager. The whole concept of the music is simple, out of sync and messed up samples and instruments thrown together on 4 tracks. On the first record i used a early 90'ies 4-channel tape recorder, an Yamaha SU-10 sampler, Zoom Rythm Trekk (legendary drummachine), some scratching and other turntable wizardry(!), guitar, noise, and some static.
The format is inspired by the late 90ies New York "illbient" movement, mainly the music coming out from Wordsound Records. These artists (Sensational, The Bug et al) were doing exactly what i wanted to do, creating sounds and music that was basically out of sync and lo-fi. Now, in 2007, I feel its time to once again plug in the 6-bit sampler to the 4-channel taper and just produce another record. During the last years I havent done any solo recordings except for an appearance with the song "Ödla" on the Runtime Records compilation album "Musik i teorin" in 2003.

Runtime Pilot
Punk/experimental band. Three demos made during the period 2001-2004. We started out as an experimental group in the late 90'ies but actually we didnt get a demo out until 2001. New music + unreleased tracks (for all the die hard fans out there!) from this project should surface here on myspace during 2007.
Geld
Duo consisting of Managern and Hästoperan. One song made for the "Musik I Teorin" project in 2003. It was entitled "Hey Baby!" and was a techno/noise version of Dj Ötzis "Hey Baby!". A 6-track EP will be released on Runtime Records during 2007.
Puukko Productions
Duo consisting of Akusetä (vocals) and Managern aka Roopesetä (beats + backing vocals). The aspiration was to make some form of 1970ies disco/funk influenced hiphop in finnish. One track, "Alko" was recorded in 1996 and in 1997 a track called "Kalevi ja Keijo" was made. In early 2002, Puukko Productions regrouped for the track, "Koljosenkorppi".

An attempt in making mock black metal in 2001.
Production and collaborations
Did the basic beat for a track called "Ordbrottas" for the Uppsala MC Kung Henry. It was for his "Exprimentet som gick snett" 12" in 2001. In 2002, i did some very subtle noise work on Kung Henrys follow up 12" EP, on the track "Speldjävulen". Produced at track with Kung Henry aka Henry Bowers in 2003-04 called "My first lego construction", wich appeared on his album "Mastermind" in 2004. In 2001 me, Rytem Trekk (legendary avantgarde percussion player) and Zizi la violeuse (infamous stalker, flasher and falsetto singer) made a legendary live performance at a local bar in Uppsala. Did a song together with Äppelhjärna (with members of Uppsalas legendary hiphop group, Mat åt far) called "Du får inte somna" in 2004-5, due to be released sometime in the future.
Recording/mixing/mastering
Done a bunch of recordings, helping friends with mixing and mastering and other tech stuff. Worked with friends in the following bands, The Junction in 1999(and from my side, awfull mixing hehe), Jackdaw - 2004-05 ', recording, mixing and co-mastering. Tumbleweed - recording,editing,preproduction,production,more editing and finally mixing and mastering(turned out very good!). I also mastered a few records for Erik MacQueen (former singer of Tumbleweed).

As always, there are plans for all kinds of music projects. But a few that actually will come to reality this year are
Geld - 5-track EP + remix record
Managern - follow up to 2001s "Terminalbuggar" and a noise/ambient/dub type record.
Also new tracks from Runtime Pilot will be released during 2007! Also there is a project with me and Dödfödd (Mat Åt Far/ Besverigelser) called "Ett namn".
