Sounds Like
Sometimes kind of whine-y, and sometimes kind of folk-y, and sometimes kind of punk-y. To quote Wes Eisold, "I know my voice isn't great, but at least it's sincere".
Mancub is songs that Ben writes and plays live on an acoustic guitar. Mancub is currently based out of Richmond, VA because that is where Ben goes to college. Mancub may or may not be touring and playing shows in the near future because Ben sometimes doesn't really like doing Mancub. Mancub is currently trying to find some sweet people to record with after Ben writes some more songs. Mancub feels really silly referring to himself in the third person. Message me if you want me to play shows or anything.

everytime i listen to your music, im reminded of what a great person you were. i mean you said it yourself "the story goes on, even if we're dead and gone" id like to think that everything your music gives to me, and other people is the continuation of your story.
yo poop storyteller. so the memorial show...HUGE hit. theres a great group of kids i am sure you would love who love you. they play your songs with lots of heart and it makes me feel marvelously. tons and tons of poeple came to celebrate jsut how grand you were.

There are still a few tshirts left however there are not many so we ordered more! they will be a couple of weeks but they are going to be purple and red! i will let ya cost as soon as they come in! thanks to the dudes at "elm and oak" print shop here in norfolk for helping us out with the patches and ts.

CAYCE CASTELOW BASKETBALL CLASSIC well back in february we had teh cayce castelow basketball classic which was a fundraiser for the cayce castelow scholarship fund. it was a super duper huge success and we raised abou $4500!!! thanks sooooo much to everyone who has donated! at teh classic we sold a few things which we still haev more of if you are interested...
-purple bracelets (like those yellow livestrong ones) with "celebrate life" printed on them in white $2 -purple magnets which are circular and have a basketball on them and "cayce castelow basketball classic #3" printed on them in white (3 was cayces number when she played basketball in middle school) $5

I still think about how we never actually got to play a show together like we talked about all the time. and I still wish I had been able to hang out that last time you called when you were in NOVA.
AP MAGAZINE!!! LAST CALL!!! ben was listed in the rock in peace section of the feb 2008 issure of AP. it is not for sale anymore but i am getting an order together and i can get them for 50% cheaper than what you would ahve paid in the store. i contacted ap and they said they give them to us for $2.50 a magazine.
if you want one let me know, i am trying tp put the order in TOMORROW (thursday march 20)!

CAYCE CASTELOW BASKETBALL CLASSIC!!! this is a basketball tournament being held at st pius x school adn all proceeds will go to the cayce castelow memorial scholarship fund set up there. it is free to come and watch and $15 to play. there will be yummy vegan goodies to eat as well. it is february 23 (saturday) from 9-6ish. call me for directions or any additional info. if you plan on playing let me know.

It took me a long time to cope, Ben. I refused to believe everything at first. And even after the fact, I just tried to stay strong. But, you know, I still think about you everyday. I still hear Saratoga and Amputee running around in my head every so often. And I still can't get that last conversation I had with you out of my mind. I called you to tell you good luck on the tour, the day after my birthday, the day after the last time I saw you, and you were at Taco Bell. You sounded really happy. Really earnest about your first big tour. I was really happy for you. And hopefully, someday when I go on tour, whenever that may be, you three will be all I can think about; in a good way. I miss you so much man. I miss hearing these songs played by your fingers right in front of me. You changed my life, Ben. You made want to write better songs. You made me laugh. You made me appriciate stupid things that wouldn't be worth a second glance otherwise. You rule, Ben. I miss you. I miss you a lot.
Y'know, I didn't know you personally, but you had some heart, kid. I still listen to the CD, and well... I just hope it helps keep a lil bit of you in the world or something, y'know? Rest easy.
