Mandalas - Eso Fue Todo @ Los Conciertos de Radio 3 - TVE / La2 **september 2008**
Mandalas irrumpen a finales de 1999 con la grabación de su primer disco y la creación de un sello discográfico propio -Tsunami Music- para poder editarlo. Los principales impulsores de esta aventura son Ramir (voces, guitarras) y David (coros, bases rítmicas y buenas vibraciones), a los que más tarde se les añade Uris (coros y teclados).
Parten de cero, pero con un espíritu incansable y a prueba de bombas con el que han entregado bajo Mandalas 3 LP – Things Left Unsaid (‘99), The Golden Shore (‘03), Hydra Rising (‘06)- 2 EP y diversos sencillos. Con ellos han estado girando por todo el territorio español además de algún que otro escarceo por Italia y Francia.
Precisamente con el último – Hydra Rising – han sorprendido a propios y extraños con una combinación de estilos difícil de clasificar que aglutina soul, pop, folk, funk, psicodelia y ritmos rotos, uniendo lo viejo y lo nuevo en un estilo autodenominado ‘rural grooves'.
Hydra Rising representa lo mejor de su discografía hasta la fecha: 11 gemas inspiradas de unos Mandalas en estado de gracia que nos entregan un clásico de la factoría Tsunami para el siglo XXI. Prueba de ello es el sencillo The More I Try (mayo ‘06) extraído de su último largo –un bombazo de poderío soul sin paliativos- que les ha situado en el punto de mira de los medios confirmando la trayectoria ascendente de la banda y afianzando el prestigio ganado con sus ocho años de carrera.
Su segundo sencillo – Barbarella On Acid (mayo ‘07) – remezclado por diversos DJs y bandas afines apunta a la pista de baile más que nunca y sirve de colofón a una larga lista de conciertos con los que han estado presentando su último largo.
En mayo del 2008, Mandalas regresan a la escena musical presentando su último disco (el 4º!!), Soulstice. Después de una larga temporada en la carretera presentando su anterior y aclamado largo Hydra Rising, Mandalas nos entregan un disco compuesto íntegramente por versiones. Once temas de artistas tan variopintos como Four Tops, O.M.D, Black Sabbath, Neil Diamond, MC5, Simon & Garfunkel y muchos otros sometidos a una transformación total hasta convertirlas en auténticos hits ‘mandalianos’. ¿Está el mundo preparado para el solsticio de Mandalas?
Mandalas was formed in the end of 1999 during the recording of its first album. A record label – Tsunami Music – was founded to release it. The main actors of this adventure are Ramir (vocals, guitars, samplers) and David (back vocals, beat box, good vibrations). Later on, Uris (a.k.a JFK) joins the band with his keyboards.
Starting from zero but with a constant fight and a do-it-yourself attitude they have delivered 3 LP – Things Left Unsaid (‘99), The Golden Shore (‘03), Hydra Rising (‘06)- 2 EP and several singles, touring by Spain, France and Italy.
Its last work –Hydra Rising- have shocked everybody with a clash of styles which includes soul, pop, folk, funk and psichedelia, joining old and new, electronic and acoustic. Hydra Rising is its best work: 11 inspired gems of electronic soul-funk, folk-hop ans psichedelia. The new Mandalas in state of grace delivering a 21 st. century Tsunami factory classic. A proof of it is its first single, The More I Try, extracted of the Hydra Rising album, a soul bomb hit which confirms its ascendent trajectory and prestige during eight years of career.
Their second single - Barbarella On Acid (May ..07) - produced by diverse Djs and related bands aims to the dance floor more than ever and it..s the gran finalle of a long lists of concerts where they..ve been displaying their last LP.
In may'08, Mandalas is back to the musical scene introducing their last album "Soulstice".
After a long time on the road playing their previous and acclaimed album "Hydra Rising" they deliver us a new work entirely composed by versions. Eleven tracks of artists such differents as Four Tops, O.M.D, Black Sabbath, Neil Diamond, MC5, Simon & Garfunkel and many others, totally transformed to turn them into genuine "mandalian" hits. Is the world ready for the Mandalas solstice?

Sigo muy preocupada con este tema, y ya han pasado meses...
No comprendo que pretende, ni cuales son sus verdaderas motivaciones, la verdad, cada dia entiendo menos todo esto, pero aunque no me llame y no sepa nada de él... siempre apoyaré a mi hijo incluso en una locura como esta.
