Sounds Like
If Tori Amos and George Winston had a musical baby. And Carole King was the midwife.
I am a singer/songwriter and teacher living near Baltimore, MD. I grew up in a musical home that was rooted in country gospel. As I developed my own style I was influenced by artists like Tori Amos, George Winston, The Beatles, Elton John, Carole King and other piano-driven music. I enjoy doing cover songs as well as my original material!
My CD Seasonings is out- visit my site and CD Baby for more songs and information!
In addition to my own personal songs I have a great love for composing for theatre... my "heroes" are Rodgers and Hammerstein, Sondheim, Schwartz, Bernstein, Webber... looks like I'm gonna have to write a musical one of these days!
I teach music, acting, photography and art at a private 6-12 school in Baltimore. I love my students!! I <3 band and theater kids!
I'm soooo busy these days that I rarely log in here anymore.. check my journal @ http://pianoscry.livejournal.com for more recent updates.
Feel free to drop me a line if you'd like to discuss any creative opportunities!
