Formed as a duo in 1991, this San Francisco-based outfit has released six full-length CDs, appeared on numerous compilations, scored for theater and dance, and received praise in such established publications as The Wire, Alternative Press, and Guitar Player, among others. Their music falls someplace between ambient, experimental, industrial, and sometimes folk, but not safely in any camp, thus frustrating music reviewers for years.
