Mandi Leigh, born in Fullerton, CA is no stranger to the music industry. Mandi discovered early in her life that she wanted to do nothing more than sing and perform. Since the young age of five Leigh has been hard at work on her rise to to success. Appearing in talent shows, concerts, & competing in pageants in her hometown, her talents were obvious from a young age.
Fast forward to 2009 and she’s come a long way. Miss Leigh, a published poet since the age of eight pens her own music and has shared the stage touring with stars such as Nina Sky, Ryan Cabrera, Jesse McCartney, Dream, Otown & more. She also toured overseas in the Caribbean and South America in 2007 as a headliner through Stiletto Entertainment. On top of her touring accomplishments she has nearly completed the writing and recording of a, yet to be titled, full length independent album featuring her current iTunes hit “No Longer In Love” and “Shadow Dancer”, her tribute to Michael Jackson from the compilation project “In Search Of Neverland” through SoundSpin Productions. “No Longer In Love”, also found on the Warner Bros. “Utopian Society” Official Soundtrack, is an uptempo pop/rock number produced by Grammy winner J.J. Blair and co-written by industry greats Jim Oddo and Shawn Lopes. Her overall album is expected to have an acoustic pop rock feel with lyrical storylines everyone can relate to.
“I’ve recorded a lot of music through the years, mixing a lot of different genres and I am very comfortable with where I’ve found my home. Music is my passion, it’s my heart, and when my words and melodies connect to those who hear it, I’ve found my place.” Leigh says. “My goal for 2010 is just to continue performing and hopefully find a home with a label. I’d also like to do a sitcom or drama series in the next couple of years.”
2008 marked the year of Mandi’s acting career taking the path she’s been seeking having co-starred in the romantic comedy “References” as well as it marking her third major soundtrack feature as a musician. Her past film and television credits include Beerfest, Fat Albert, Maneater, Clubhouse, Homeland and many commerical credits including Victoria Secret and ESPN.
Though a true entertainer, Mandi’s focus and passion lie on how she can give back for the blessings she’s received. Since her professional career in San Diego started in 2001 she signed up with Kids With A Cause and continued on the path of working with and performing for many children’s charities including many benefit concerts and auctions for Make A Wish Foundation. The 2009 Halloween season marks Mandi Leigh’s second year as celebrity host of “Phantom Manor”, a haunted house experience for charity, this year benefitting Arizona’s Habitat For Humanity Projects for 2010 which Mandi Leigh will assist in building. Her ultimate goal is to open her own Nerve Pain Research Foundation in honor of her mother.
Mandi is also a trained dancer, published writer & model in the industry, most recently being one of the faces of Forever 21’s Fall Line. Chopper Couture has also named one of their Spring 2010 Collections “Mandi” after Leigh and her musical accomplishments after she was seen wearing items from their line at the famed Viper Room. Misconstrued Boutique out of Arizona also recently named one of their pieces the "Miss Mandi" after it selling out when Leigh wore it at a show in L.A. - Leigh is truly a jack of all trades fueled by determination, talent and a heart for what’s she most passionate about.
