Mandragora
ist der Künstlername der Sängerin und Multiinstrumentalistin Sabine Stelzer.
In
ihrem umfangreichen Repertoire begibt sie sich auf
eine musikalische Klangreise, und ist dem Zauber verschiedener
Epochen, Kontinente und Welten erlegen. Sie spielt
dabei verschiedene Flöten, Sackpfeife und Schalmeien, und mit Instrumenten
wie Drehleier und Saz (Langhalslaute) bestreitet sie mit ihrer facettenreichen
Stimme ihr Soloprogramm, und interpretiert dabei klassische Minnelyrik
und Tavernenlieder ebenso wie traditionelles Volksliedgut aus Frankreich,
Spanien, Skandinavien, Bulgarien, Mazedonien, Albanien und der Türkei.

gesetzt werden können!!! Musik ist die Sprache, die eine Brücke zwischen verschiedene Welten zu schlagen vermag...

I am singer, tribalfusiondancer, performance artist and multiinstrumentalist (hurdy-gurdy, saz, davul, jew's harp, bagpipe, shawm, chalumeau, different flutes).
Travelling between different times, worlds and continents is my passion and I try to interprete the essence of my journey-impressions...
Sometimes, when it is necessary, I write my own songs, but i really love to revive the ancient archaic musicuniverse with mediaeval instruments, bulgarian and nordic voice technique and earthy powerful tribaldance....
...to enter the heritage of our ancestors and recreate the incredible rich and wealthy treasure of traditional songs, melodys, poetry, tales, folkdance,emotions....
My personal inherit roots are in Turkey, and most time I find my priority musicsources in oriental and balkan culture.
