Sabbath, Rush, Queen, Schenker, Priest, Maiden, Yngwie, Metallica, Cacophony, Slayer, Sepultura, Faith No More, Psychotic Waltz, Forbidden, Tool, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, I Mother Earth, Radiohead, Dream Theater, System of a Down, Disturbed, Mudvayne, Muse, Nevermore... I guess that's about the tip of the iceberg.
Sounds Like
Melody, groove and heaviness seem to be the main attributes of what we have written so far but things like atmosphere and aggression and other further personality traits come about as the songs grow. Much like how an author will say a character writes itself, often so will a song. Our interests and influences are diverse enough that we will enjoy all of the many directions this band might take from here, while hopefully always delivering a level of quality that keeps our fans interested.
Mandragora is what happens when people with similar core musical tastes, but diverse peripheral influences come together to make music, not as an avenue to fame or wealth, but simply to "let it out". A musical purge of intellectual ideas, pent up frustration, goofy clowning, and divine inspiration unleashed in collaboration. It's bigger than all of us and made of many tiny working parts. And it's hard to stop rearranging them.

thanks for the add! I made this profile as a tribute to Steve's vocal talent and because I'm a fan of his former band, Talamasca. I'm looking forward to hearing him with Mandragora.
