ITALIANO:---I Mandriga nascono nel 1999 da Mauro, Riccardo e Gabriele, che, dopo aver militato otto anni nella formazione dei Tekila, si uniscono al nuovo cantante Andrea.
In meno di 4 anni, tra pub, feste di vario genere e rassegne musicali, il gruppo ha girato la provincia di Cuneo, facendosi notare per l'energia e la grinta con cui propone il suo spettacolo.
E' da segnalare la partecipazione al Festival organizzato in occasione dell' incontro delle Città Gemelle a Boblingen, in Germania, in qualità di rappresentante italiano per la città di Alba.
Nel lungo repertorio che viene proposto dal vivo, sono inserite le migliori canzoni del rock italiano ed internazionale, alternate ai brani originali. Questi ultimi riflettono le varie influenze dei membri del gruppo, che vanno dal rock italiano, tipo Vasco Rossi, a quello più ricercato, tipo Dream Theater. Questo aspetto lo si nota specialmente nella scelta di snodare la melodia del cantato, in italiano, tra riff di chitarra, supportati da una solida, ma variegata ritmica di batteria e basso, da arrangiamenti di tastiera molto moderni, da attenti cori e dall' inserimento di parti programmate di elettronica.
I testi sono assolutamente apolitici e descrivono storie di tutti i giorni, dai problemi interiori di ogni persona a momenti vissuti di persona dagli autori, Mauro e Riccardo, i quali si occupano anche di scrivere tutte le musiche, cercando di mantenere un equilibrio tra la parte cantata e quella strumentale. Il primo CD autoprodotto, si intitola "Piccolo Sogno" e registrato con l' aiuto di Mauro Fede dei "Feelgood Production".
ENGLISH:----Mandriga rise in 1999 from Mauro, Riccardo and Gabriele that, after a period of 8 years with another group called Tekila, they carry on with another new group joined the new singer Andrea.
During a short time ,less than 4 years , among pubs, different type of parties and music festivals ,the group played in a lot of places in the area of Cuneo ( NW Italy ) to attract notice for energy and grim in their shows.
It points out the presence in a rock festival organized for a special meeting of twins-town to Boblingen ( Germany ) where they represent the city of Alba as Italian group.
In the long song-list played in live performance are included the best songs from Italian and international rock together with their own songs.
These own songs reflect the different music influence from everyone of them in the group starting from Italian rocker like Vasco Rossi until to research music like Dream theater. In that songs you can hear Italian texts in a melodic vocal line with guitar riff , in addition to a solid but many-colored drum and bass rhythmic sections joined to modern keyboard arrangements through a careful use of choirs and electronic music parts. The song-texts are absolutely apolitical and describe days-stories based from inner emotion and great time lived from the authors Mauro and Riccardo who also write all the music trying to balance music parts from vocal tracks. The firs cd, self-produced, is "Piccolo Sogno (Little Dream)" and recorded with the help of Mauro Fede of Feelgood Productions.
