my folks taught me how to play the guitar when i was about sixteen. i never really was any good at it. but i fiddled around and tried to play pop songs i was hearing on the radio (as long as they only required the knowledge of three or four chords.) by the time i was twenty two i'd learned a bit more and expanded my repertoire a bit. then some jackass went and broke my heart, and i guess that's where the floodgates just opened wide. i've been writing sad bastard girlie tunes ever since. usually i play alone, but i anticipate a reunion with my good friend bonnie montgomery and our honky tonk band, the turkey mountian congregation. i also have the opportunity to play, on occasion, with my amazingly talented sister amy mcbryde(who sings with me here on "dark hollow"). it's a family affair. that is hilarious. i have not thought about that in years. you will love Seattle. my best friend lived there for a while when my hubbie and i lived in Colorado so we went to visit. i loved it! rains alot, though! have an absolutely wonderful time! btw, it makes me smile sooo big to look at pics of you with your band! you are sooo gorgeous, you sexy rockstar! have soooo much fun.
