Manel Diaz, nació el verano del 1984 en Barcelona. Su interés por la música empezó de niño. Con 6 años empezó a estudiar solfeo y piano, estudios que duraron hasta los 12 años. A los 15 empezó a escuchar algo de música electrónica aun sin mucho criterio y a los 16, empezó a salir por clubs como apolo, florida 135, ciberian, la terraza, la cova, etc… Poco después, se compró sus primeros platos de correa y empezó a disfrutar del tacto con la música que le podia ofrecer ese instrumento . Despues de años practicando, a Manel diaz se le ha podido escuchar en clubs como Eitwo ( tarragona ), La cova ( corvera ), Isla dencanta ( Bcn ), Future ( Bcn ), Canvives ( sabadell ), Loops ( sabadell ), bar cuatro (Bcn) , y en fiestas privadas.
A los 20 años empezó a estudiar sonido atraido por la informática musical y las diferentes ramas del mundo del audio professional. En ese momento empezó a producir musica electronica con un home studio bastante modesto y poco a poco fué renovando tanto el hardware como el software. Actualmente las producciones de manel diaz estan enfocadas hacia una faceta mas minimalista, aunque otros estilos como techno o hardtechno tambien estan presentes.
Manel diaz actualmente compagina la carrera de técnico de sonido con la producción de música electronica y sus sets de Dj. En 2008 publicó 2 tracks (“destination” y “come to me”) con el sello valenciano de BEAT TO BEAT RECORDS y en 2009 ha publicado 11 tracks mas con los sellos : RACCOON, LINE CODE, Y MALDESKENA RECORDS. Helo, manel-diaz. I hope things are going well. I’m here to present you a new ethnical remix (called "Testamento Da Árbore") with influences of house music produced for the folk band “Coanhadeira”. Real instruments like bagpipes, acoustic guitars and other classical sounds played by the band are included. The track is sung in "gallego", a particlar languaje similar to Portuguesse that's spoken where me and this band are living. If you are interested in getting this remix for your radio show, dj sets or whatever, don’t hesitate to contact me, please. Algunos comentarios: Ronald van Norden (Eminor, Tracer, Tight Lipped): Definitely the best EP I've heard of BMM! Good work! Carsten Rausch: I really like Mario Plaza - Vocal Sense. All Mixes are nice, but the Original Mix is my fav. Full support for that one! Dave James: Vocal sense is cool, hypnotic mix is my fave. Galuszka: The original starts chunky and gets funky, a nice groove. The remixes by Luis Noic take it minimal. The Hipnotic remix revisits some classic techno sounds, love it. The Reddman: The Vocal Sense Track was very smooth. It was one of those tracks that make you want to just stand in front of the speaker, close your eyes and let the music take you on a trip to somewhere deep within your own mind. M.O.D.E.: Luis Noic on vocal sense is great. Marc Fuccio (Fresh DJS): Favourite mix is Luis Noic Hypnotic remix. Deep sounds with brilliant production.
