GeneralTHE STORY.

MANHATTAN HEAT is a police procedural/supernatural thriller that is best described as The French Connection meets Resident Evil.

SYNOPSIS.

Lt. Frank Caldwell is a hard-boiled NYPD homicide detective who is suffering a crisis of faith. He is a recovering alcoholic and recent divorcee' who is trying to be a good father when he gets a very unusual call: a body has been found outside the 86th street tunnel – a body that has been dead for ten years. Witnesses saw him attack a man minutes before he collapsed.

Lt. Caldwell’s investigation will lead him to all of the dark corners of Manhattan – kicking in doors in the drug-riddled Amsterdam Avenue district, to warehouses frequented by Santeria cult ceremonies, to the underground subway tunnels that hold the secrets of an ancient curse that is about to be unleashed on the city. With the help of parapsychologist Kate Reeling and her father, Lt. Caldwell must overcome his personal demons in order to stop evil from taking over Manhattan.
