Okay back to me...I worked in Information Technology for 10 years.  As a consultant for high profile clients, I worked long hours and experienced many stressful situations in rolling out new solutions to clients. Looking for a more stable situation,  I worked in-house for a global software company for the remainder of my corporate career.  As a senior systems engineer, my responsibilities included implementation and management of 200+ servers in a global network.  I was nuts for thinking that would be more stable though. I'll never forget being up for 34 hours straight and STILL not having a system go back online!

And then came the pitter patter of little feet...

When I had my first son I thought I could go back to work with no problem.  I still remember my heart breaking wide open the first day I left him at daycare.  As I drove to work crying that day I decided I was never going to have a job away from my children again.

Thankfully when my second son was born my husband and I had been working diligently to change our financial situation so I could stay home with the boys.  For the past 5 years I have been blessed to be home with my children.  Not a day goes by that I don't realize how lucky I am that I am one of the few women who are able to do that in ....America.....  But there is a price to pay for that...

ONE OF US WAS FREAKING OUT!

My poor husband was so stressed!  It's almost impossible to be a single-family income anymore.  Money was tight and my husband just plain missed the boys. When the kids got older I knew I had to do something to help alleviate some of the burden on him.  He was always thinking about his stressful job and even when he was home with us he was never fully present because of that stress.

"Knock, Knock!"  "Who's There?"  "Opportunity!

About a year and a half ago I was introduced to network marketing.  I was totally not interested in doing THAT kind of business (you know what I'm talking about ;) ) but I wasn't happy with how my skin had been looking so I took a look.  Many things about the company spoke to me - vegan products, no animal testing, no dyes or chemicals, botanically based, health and wellness products, etc. - all things that are right up my alley.

We are all vegetarians in my family and very much into being compassionate to all living beings. My mom has her own business where she makes all natural soaps and lotions with essential oils and herbs. I'm a research junkie when it comes to alternative health and wellness. So I figured the universe was trying to tell me something about this company, right? So I jumped in.

But there was a problem...

I did everything I was told to do at first.  Although it never felt right to me, I'm all about self-improvement and conquering my ego so I figured I just needed to shut my pie hole and step outside of my comfort zone like everybody kept telling me.  I called people, I did parties, I always brought it up, I was always scoping people out, I joined social networking groups, etc.  I spent so much money taking people out to lunch, buying coffees, doing parties and paying for babysitters. Here I was supposed to be helping my family financially and I ended up costing us money and lots of it!  I always had a hard time telling people this could answer their money problems when in fact it created money problems for me.

The products were really great and network marketing is a brilliant business model - it really is - but it just wasn't working out.  I knew if I could stop wasting my time talking to people who had no interest in my opportunity and who, honestly, I had no interest in partnering with, this thing could be great.

That is how I started expanding my mindset and wealth consciousness and seeing what is possible. I realized that there was something to this online world and that there was some serious money to be made for anyone who was committed and willing to take action now!

And then I attracted the solution...

I am so thankful that I found a company that not only knows how to take full advantage of the Internet for building home businesses but is, in fact, the very best at it!

My old upline said it couldn't be done on the Internet.  Ha!  They were so wrong!  It absolutley is possible and it's way more lucrative than what was available to me before in my small, local circle of influence.  I can show you how I'm getting in front of thousands of people now and how I never call anybody anymore.  I don't have to know how to create web pages (I was an engineer not a programmer) or be some super sales person. I have an army of people behind me now who are experts in online marketing instead of people telling me it can't be done.

That old way of MLM is so unbelievably archaic.  Hello?  It's 2008 people!  The Internet is not going away. Progress or perish!
