Manilla PR also handles the Beverley Folk Festival as part of our events portfolio, handling media for Beverley Folk Festival has introduced us to some key media people in the UK who we remain in touch with via our artists throughout each year. 2007 also saw us handle the Glasswerk New Music Awards at AKA, Covent Garden, London and saw another sold out event being covered by various media. 2008 we stage our own showcase event at In The City and produced a compilation CD which was handed around the Midland Hotel and this years see us set up and promote the Lipstick & Guitar tour.

2008 Campaigns
2008 was the most successful year yet for the Manilla PR roster. National radio play was secured for Severe Zero, LizzySpit, Dr Slaggleberry, Lack of Afro, Stephen Dale Petit, John Askew, Diarmaid O’Meara, Burgaboy, Revere, Tiny Spark, Cutaways, Nephu Huzzband, Smudge and Guns on the Roof.
Our festival portfolio was proud to contain once again a sold out Beverley Festival and other notable events included the In The City weekend in Manchester.
Thank you to all our artists who helped shape a successful year in print and radio and a special thank you to Lack of Afro who secured air play on every national BBC radio station.
RANGERS have teamed up with new, highly-rated Glasgow band Vigo Thieves who will donate the profits from their debut single 'Won't You Be Mine' to the club's Youth Academy.
And you can check them out at half-time when the band will be brought out to the pitch to be introduced to the crowd.
The Rangers-supporting group are made up of four friends - Stevie Jukes, Alan Jukes, Gordon Phipps and Barry Cowan - and are heavily influenced by The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys and Oasis.
They will release their eagerly-anticipated single on 16th November, 2009 ahead of their debut album hitting the music scene in early 2010.
