Record Label
If we ever start one: Saskatchewan Kenobi Records.
Not much to us. I, Andrew Ford, came up with the name and have only told one other person about it because it's so genius. That person's name is Zack Seiss. Factor in Josh Bruton on the drums, Tim Baker on the keys and running things behind the scenes, and Hayes Edgeworth dirtily fingering the bass and you have something much greater than the sum of its parts...
For together we are Manitobe Hooper, and you cannot stand in the face of such. So behold, beware, and be ready. We are going to deconstruct music before reviving rock and roll for both the masses and the indie crowd. In our massive record collections lies the groundwork laid throughout decades past for our eventual takeover.
We are currently working on a few things and toying with the idea of becoming a collective because we know so many people who are as good at their instruments as we are (and in my case, better), so y'never know, we could start the next super-important collective. Broken Social Scene, Elephant Six, ....um......the Polyphonic Spree, watch out! For the Manitobe Hooper men cometh!
hey there Manitobe folk...I noticed you liked Will Oldham and thought I'd point you in the direction of some guys I hear he knows from the UK, an alt.country/acoustic folk kinda group called "quarter-pounder". They're brothers from the Isle of Man who are a little mentally unstable but with an ear for a good tune so I reckon you might like them. Maybe you know of them already? One of their fans has set up a web site where you can download a bunch of their songs for free at www.quarter-pounder.co.uk Check it out..
what the f....... where's the music??
I've been waiting, I'll just keep checking back I geuss.. maybe someday I'll be plesantly surprised, or have to delete you as my friend because your mucic is crap, but at this point...... I haven't a clue....clue me in would ya?
