    Interested in herbal and natural healing, essential oils, EFT (emotional freedom technique) tapping, Traditional Chinese Medicine, learning about different cultures and hopefully traveling one day, living a "greener" life and choosing organic products when I can, walking in nature, letting go of the "ego" and accepting whoever I meet as "no less than God" as we are all connected and spiritual beings.

    Mountain dulcimer, Bing Futch, Folk, Bob Dylan, Bruce Cockburn, John Trudell, Native American, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Deuter, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, almost any World Music, some rock, country, jazz and classical.

    Foreign and independent films are my favorite. I also love a good documentary.

    Books that have enlightened me include The Wheel of Life by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, The Four Agreements, A Course In Miracles, The Starseed Transmissions by Ken Carey, Dancing in the Shadows of the Moon by Machaelle Small Wright, The Disappearance of the Universe, The Wise Woman books by Susun Weed (herbalist/healer), and anything by Deepak Chopra,The Dalai Lama, Ken Wilber, Gary Renard and Ram Dass. In fiction I love Louise Erdrich and have read most of her books. A newer novel I have recently enjoyed was The Lace Reader, a recent memoir-The Sisters Antipodes. I enjoy reading stories about pioneers and the old west, stories about indigenous peoples, and books set in other countries by authors around the world. I like nature writing and books about animals. Also love poetry.

  • Heroes

    Leonard Peltier, John Trudell, Native American Indians who have survived against all oddds, as well as other races who survived the horrors of torture, war and genocide. The many people of organizations such as Defenders of Wildlife and Peta who fight for our animals, and environmental activists such as GreenPeace who fight for our planet earth and its survival. Teachers who are dedicated to our children, especially my sister Vicky who has been an elementary teacher for over 25 years. Mike Adams, The Health Ranger of naturalnews.com who fights for our freedom in healthcare and offers great information for natural remedies and puts himself on the line everyday. Journalists who strive to bring us the truth and put themselves in precarious situations for just this reason.

My faith has kept me whole and learning to forgive everyone and every thing including myself. Music has always been so important to the health of my spirit and emotions and I have always loved to dance. Besides being in Nature I love to be a homebody and read, read, read. We are all spiritual beings and need to have compassion and love for one another without judgment. When we follow our own heart and truly accept our soul essence that is when we become truly empowered. Joy is the consequence of this inner knowing. We are energetic beings and training ourselves to focus on positive thoughts and emotions has a great influence on our physical bodies, our physical reality, and of course our mental and spiritual capabilities.
