The band have been compared to the sounds of Beck, Love and Rockets , The Stone Roses and strangely , John Williams. To be honest this an exercise in futility... have a listen and feel free to make you own decisions... its probably for the best. Enjoy the tunes and please leave us comments!

Bio:

Manjam Monkey are an acoustic act in the style of Jack Johnson, Damien Rice etc and other great singer songwriters telling stories about loife, relationships and the like. They are based in Oxford, England. Currently the band are about to release their first EP appropriately entitled Debut on 3/5/10. This release consists of 4 tracks , all of which can be found here on this page in unmastered lower quality MP3 format. The EP tracks are Kill the nation Gone Nevermind the rain Melancholy. Local reviews have noted that the bands sound can be compared to Beck and Love and Rockets, while Melancholy has been described as a seductive song and serenity in sound in one review. After getting several thousand plays across the internet , a golden auddy award for kill the nation whuch was considered to be a potential hit single at uplaya.com and radio play for Melancholy and Kill the nation the band decided to release this EP to fund their next EP which will take more of an acoustic direction. This will be supported by gigs in the local Oxford/London Area The band comprises of Dave Acreman , singer/songwriter/guitars and Ross Andrews, guitars. Both have played extensively around the Oxford area. ..Myspace Background Generator, make your own myspace layout .. .. ..
