April 29/09 The latest issue of ImagoZine is fresh off the press and WHAT AN ISSUE IT IS!!!! Cover-shot by Dean Karr. In Canada, you can now get it at Chapters (fashion section). All others can order it at ImagoZine.com!
Shooting the cover:
Feb 9/09 ... and now for something different: after 13 months of restoration, my car is finally home again. Here it is getting ready to leave the shop
Haaaa, yet another gem from way back, Theory of a Deadman and myself from waaaaaaay back in 2003.
IMAGO's 'WanderLust' fashion show, Nov 29, 2008. Check my 'pics' for photos.
John-Angus - The Trews. November 5, 2008
Alice Cooper: from last night (Oct 7/08); I was a huge fan as a kid, what a blast to shoot after all these years:
3 Miles : I just completed consolidation of all my digital or digitized photos onto one backup drive and ended up with over 32,000. So, if printed as 4x6 photos, they would stretch to about 3 miles .. that covers the last 6 years.
As I sort through thousands of photos, I come across a few gems ... here's one of Tom Green and myself after we had been shooting 'Prepare for Impact' - what a night. Took me HOURS to clean my cameras which were covered in scrambled egg, Jaeger ...!
THORNLEY
One night at the Horseshoe (Tavern - May, 2008). Tavis was on the road, so I believe his tech subbed, but I may have this wrong. Damn fine job dude!!! Anybody know his name, please let me know, I'd like to put it here.
Photos (unedited and MAN, was it dark!) now up on my site at MannequinMedia.com
I’m going through STACKS of photos … here’s one of Barry Stock, Three Days Grace from earlier in 2008!
Dean Karr and your's truly having a quiet moment before the shoot. A very interesting, amazing, enyoyable, down-to-earth, memorable, no-prima-donna kinda guy... one of the few.
There's not enough room on this page to adequately describe what I think of his work. You’ve all seen it, you may just not know it. As a matter-of-fact, DK directed videos for three of the artists on this page! Three Days Grace, Seether, Tommy Lee. Check it out: Dean Karr
Jeff Healey, March 26 1966-March 2, 2008
RIP Jeff.
Ken Tizzard (..The Watchmen, Thornley..). Recently, I had an opportunity to visit with friend Ken in Blue Rodeo's studio as he was recording his second solo CD 'Lost in Awe'. John Whynot had come up from L.A. to record and mix and I shot some photos of the session.

Another of my videos on YouTube; band: amazing Canadian Rockers 'Thornley'; this is a 3 camera shoot, Boxing Day 2004 at The Docks, Toronto Ontario (go see these guys when they are in your area - you are going to LOVE them):

Nov 13: I just spent a couple of days on the road with Three Days Grace, T.O.A.D, Mobile and Idle Sons and will post some pics as soon as I can get to sorting out who’s posting what. In the interim, I did have a few left from the 3DG/TDG Aug 3, 2006 performance @ The Phoenix that I didn’t get around to posting until now (I added them to the existing Phoenix album) - BTW, if you haven't seen this show with all 4 bands, you don't know what you're missing! : ClickMe

Oct/06: pics I took back in March up on my site @ MannequinMedia.):
Censored Photo
Well, you see the blueish photo at the top left, the ..PLASTIC.. mannequin? It was deleted by MySpace administrators Oct 5, 2006 - quoting from their message, in part: 'We can't have certain kinds of pics (nude/sexually suggestive photos, violent images, etc.) on the site'. I have no doubt, that this was reactive to a complaint by somebody. So, it was I who put the red 'tape' across the plastic breast and re-loaded the photo.
I have had many appreciative comments regarding that photo over the years (it's been on mannequinmedia.com for ages) and not once did anyone bring up the fact that it's nude.
So much a sign of our times that Neanderthalean sports like boxing and wrestling (not the real wrestling) are deemed socially acceptable, yet an image depicting a nude body (or, in my case, a nude plastic mannequin) is not.
When I was a teenager walking to high-school, every day I passed a bronze life-size statue of a nude, young girl. I admired that statue, but in all the times I passed it, not once do I recall thinking anything other than for it's beauty and I'm sure most intact other people didn't either – I would suggest that those who behold such depictions of the human body and whose thoughts immediately turn to sex have some serious issues to deal with and should maybe seek help or return to skinning rabbits, tracking UFO's and lying prostate at the feet of George 'W'.
For those intelligent enough to understand the difference, beware of what's going on out there, things are changing for the worse. Social evils should not be confused with the pursuit of true beauty.
My high-school was in Switzerland, not in my home country of Canada. Not sure what would happen here in Canada today: if it were an old statue, it would probably be deemed art, if new, maybe pornography.
Somebody please help us all

Hi Roland, To answer your question about who was the guy who was playing guitar (instead of Tavis) with Thornley at the Horseshoe Tavern (May 8th 2008) : it was Patrick Benti (from Haard). Check out his myspace : http://www. myspace. com/haard He used to be a tech for Big Wreck. :)
Hey Roland <3 Indeed! Trying to balance everything is really hard. I would like to focus my time on music and put modeling on hold, but maybe this isn't the right time..
