    .. (ENG) Music is the language of Mankind. There are no such things as musical style barriers, we believe that electronic music is an abstract way of expression with the goal of expressing feelings and bring pleasure to the listeners. We only feel silence in life when a kick and bassline occupies our brain. From the minds of three DJ's, producers and friends the MANKIND project was born, combining several musical influences and video-art in experimental and overwhelming live sets in which we use computers, cd players and vinyl connected to the same mixer, improvising to the flavour of the night. Due to our musical backgrounds we received influences from various scenes: from techno to electro, jazz, disco, hiphop, breakbeat, new rave or trance in its diverse forms; we've been to all kinds of events, from acoustic concerts to raves and we bring that eccletism to our performances, never losing coherence in our stories. At the moment we are working on our live act and first EP. We work on several artistic fields, namely architecture, video-art and VJ, design, ilustration and graffiti. The members are Sebastião Bizarro, Finisterra and Hudini, with presences in clubs such as Lux, Op Art, LxFactory, Club Souk, Tuatara, Post, Espaço 2010, being that the debut of the collective was in Fábrica Braço de Prata in Lisbon 2008. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (PT) Música é a linguagem da Humanidade. Não existem barreiras de estilos musicais, acreditamos que a música electrónica é uma forma de expressão abstracta com o objectivo de exprimir sentimentos e causar prazer aos ouvintes. Só sentimos silêncio na vida quando um kick e uma linha de baixo nos ocupam o cérebro. Das mentes de três dj's, produtores e amigos surgiu o projecto Mankind, que combina vários estilos musicais e video-arte em live sets experimentais avassaladores em que utilizamos computadores, CD's e dois gira-discos ligados a uma mixer, improvisando ao sabor da noite. Devido aos nossos backgrounds musicais recebemos influências de várias vertentes, do techno ao electro, jazz, disco, hiphop, breakbeat, new rave ou trance nas suas diversas formas; assistimos a vários tipos de festas, desde concertos acústicos a raves e trazemos esse ecletismo para os nossos sets, sem perder coerência nas histórias. No momento estamos a trabalhar no nosso live act e primeiro EP, para breve. Trabalhamos em vários campos artísticos nomeadamente video-arte e VJ, design, ilustração, graffiti e arquitectura.
