Influences
All the way from the Beatles, Chuby Checker, and all the rock and roll musicians of the 1960s.
The Fania artists such as Larry Harlow, Ismael Miranda, Eddie Palmieri, Bari Rogers, Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz, Jose Luis Monero Orchestra and Babo Jimenez Orchestra. I've been influenced by musicians from all the South American Countries and West African Nations. I did extensive touring in these countries and received amazing teaching from all these great musicians I met during my trips to South America, West Africa, the Caribbean and Europe.
Sounds Like
My band has an very original and authentic Salsa/Merengue sound. I specialized in Afro-Cuban and Classic Salsa. We have "Sabor" and the fans love the arrangement we do of covers as well as my originals.
The originals are an eclectic mix of Afro-Cuban, Jazz, R&B arranged with a big band style harmony. Lots of counter-point and rich melodies and choruses.

The trick is to stay focused on what you want to happen and let go of what you do not... cuz if you keep seeing things as they are, convincing yourself that you "have to" because that's reality, then it will always be your reality. want to change? it's as simple as changing the who, what, how, why and when of what you look at and FOCUS on... DAILY :)
Tankism #25 Have a great week :) PS: see if you can "see" the picture below. It's pretty cool...
