Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA Manny Murillo aka Manny EM started playing records in the summer of 1995, after an encounter with trance music that led him to an unbelievable passion for electronic music that made him realize certain things. The ability to create an atmosphere and make crowds move was a talent that came almost naturally to the young and charasmatic dj. Coming from a family of dj's was a blessing and a true testament that electronic music was his calling.
By the age of 16 MANNY EM was managing SF Valley’s very own “SoundStation Records” and co-hosting “SOUNDSTATION”, a weekly radio show on LA’s legendary FM pirate station “Frequency”. At the time Manny EM was known for driving minimal techno sets that shook the core of the Los Angeles underground scene. Although very young, he quickly worked his way up the rankings to being one of LA’s most wanted DJ’s and held residencies at local clubs like MASTERDOME, TEKNOCLUB & ALL4YOU.
As time went on he kept fine tuning his sound and exploring different genres of music looking for the one true sound that would captivate and display his love for music more than ever. After the birth of his first son, Progressive Trance/House is where he felt at home.
Manny EM has captivated the hearts of many clubbers with his unique sound of progressive and melodic trance. The amazing energy that’s displayed through his mixes is what makes you want to keep hearing more and more. What makes this individual stand out above the rest is the ability to take the crowd in to an unbelievable journey of deep and epic sounds that will penetrate your mind and body every single time. In 2006 he relocated to the East Coast and is ready to take his uplifting and deep sound to new places, for new faces...
MANNY EM is now dedicating so much time in the studio learning all he can to master yet another level of music. With two releases already under his belt he is surely a young and aspiring producer to look out for in 2009 .
