Mantra Fusion Band is a world music band from Split, Croatia which was formed in the beginning of 2007. MFB sound is fusion of eastern and western musical tradition. It's sound is influenced by Oriental and European ethno music, Indian classical & folk music, Macedonian, gypsy and kletzmer music, as well as contemporary western music. Band is formed by seven young professional musicians from different musical backgrounds- classical, rock, ethno and alternative:

All of the instruments are acoustic, including those who are used in Indian and Arabic music such as sitar, tampura, tablas, mridanga, harmonium, and darbuka combined with African drumm jembe and classical European instruments viola, violin, clarinet, accordion and acoustic guitar.
In our concerts we want to give to our audience an entrance into a new dimensions by putting together all the different elements in the show – universal fusion music sound, outwordly lyrics, exotic instruments and oriental image.
First part of the band name Mantra comes from one of the oldest languages in the world, Devanagari or Sanskirt, and it's meaning is mystical syllable or transcedental sound vibration which liberates the soul and makes one happy and free...
