MantraM started at the I.T.T. “Livia Bottardi” of Rome, in October 2001.
The band immediately began to compose and perform original songs.
Later, in December, 2003, MantraM produced the first demo tape with three songs.
After this the band had a busy schedule playing in live pubs around the capital.
The 22nd of July 2005 was released the new EP of the band, characterized by an increased aggressiveness and by the individuals’ maturation.
The band started conceiving a more mature and heavy sound, blinking an eye to the alternative metal school scene.
MantraM is a solid band, so, getting out of odd contacts with minor recording labels, they decided to take a chance and record a full length album.
With the blessing partnership of producer Stefano Toni, their first discoverer in the old “Bottardi” times, they got together and entered the recording studio in march 2007.
“Silent Steps Outside”, the name of the album, was released in September.
MantraM builds on the music of groups like Faith No More and Incubus but sometimes unleashes more violent sounds inspired by System of a Down and Slipknot.
I MantraM nascono nell’Ottobre 2001 all’interno dell'Istituto Livia Bottardi.
La band inizia a scrivere pezzi propri e a concepire un rock sperimentale.
Nel dicembre 2003, registrano un demo-tape con tre brani.
Due anni dopo, Luglio 2005, esce il nuovo EP del gruppo che denota una maggiore aggressività strumentale ed una maturazione individuale.
La band comincia a sviluppare un suono insieme più maturo e più heavy, strizzando l’occhio alla scena metal alternativa.
Dopo una stagione piena di esibizioni i MantraM sono una band che ha preso confidenza ed il gruppo è solido, e così possono tirarsi fuori da contratti equivoci proposti loro da etichette minori. Viene contattato lo stimato produttore Stefano Toni, che già lì aveva scoperti ai vecchi tempi del Bottardi, ed entrano nello studio di registrazione a Marzo 2007.
“Silent Steps Outside”, album autoprodotto, esce nel Settembre dello stesso anno.
Il sound dei MantraM segue il percorso di gruppi come Faith No More e Incubus, ma i momenti più potenti possono a tratti ricordare System of a Down e Slipknot.

Ed il sabato dopo (sabato 25 Luglio), sempre all'Ippodromo Le Mulina delle Cascine é il momento del ritorno dei grandissimi Story of Jade che presenteranno nuovi pezzi e nuovo repertorio e con una scenografia horror come sempre suggestiva ed affascinante.
