But, lo behold, our small "scene" here in Bremen (Germany) is trying to reestablish the old progressive vibe..... ..I love all the fascinating facets of Progressive and Psychedelic Trance since endulging into my first (life changing) party at VooV 1996. Countless parties and intense sessions of homelistening later I became a more "active" member of the Psytrance family by designing flyers and websites. Since 2002 I did a lot of psychedelic VJing with the ..re:sorb VJ crew.. (i.e. ..Fullmoon Festival..) and have been helping to ..organize many parties.. around Bremen with the brinkstrasse dreizehn crew. While staying in New Zealand, I started to learn DJing and thus realized one of my longtime dreams: merging the most magical and emotional music into one piece and return all that beautiful energy to the dancers, that I was so lucky to experience at Psychedelic Trance parties..... ..My style ranges from fluffy morning Progressive (128-133 BPM) to happy day time (135 BPM) and deep driving night time Psygressive Trance (140-142 BPM). I keep the mixing original and don't just mix the last 20 seconds of a song. Long, smoothly blended mixes is what you will get from me... ..And yes: I BUY almost all of the CDs I mix in a small ..recordshop.. or at online music stores. MP3 has an inferior sound quality (even with a high bitrate) especially on a good sound system. Playing with 98% .wav files I can provide the best audio quality to the dancers. If we DJs don't buy the music, who will keep the music production scene alive?.. .. ..My strangest gigs so far:.. .. ....Soulclipse After Party.. (Turkey 2006).. ..After five days of either mostly cheesy or machine gun Full-On I played a gentle Progressive Mix at the beginning of the After Party and the fraggles just loved it (although I thought they would rip my headphones down). Lots of smiles and pads on the back. Big grin!.. ....Tundra.. (Lithuania 2006).. ..My gig was scheduled at 8 a.m. in the morning. A good time usually, but it was so scorching hot (44°) already, that only 2-4 people were dancing (including my beloved girl friend). When I played some more Electro/Progressive House tunes two muscle guys with huge sun glasses came to the dancefloor and wiggled their butts in 80s disco style... Thankx!.. ....Flauschrausch.. (Germany 2006).. ..brinkstrasse dreizehn crew organized a party at Easter weekend. People who wore bunny costumes got in for free. During my deep night Progressive set you could see all those lovely people costumed with long ears dancing and hopping to the music, like a bunch of white rabbits. Funny indeed. .. ....Schabentanz.. (Germany 2005).. ..After having partied for two days & nights (beer was free with entrance fee) with almost no sleep and red eyes my friend Tobold and I were allowed to play on sunday afternoon. A three hours well mixed pumping day time Prog set later many people had started to finally dance again. I just kept wondering how I was able to play in the first place;). Dankeschön!.. ....3=mc..3.... (New Zealand 2005).. ..My first "public appearance" as a DJ on my own birthday party. Mixing was crappy, of course, but my lovely new found friends from NZ still danced to the music and gave me an unforgettable first DJ experience.
