Manuela Barile is an italian vocal researcher and interdisciplinary performer.
Her artistic research is based on a project-oriented work that combines vocal sounds with different media (performance art, field recordings, video, photography, radio, writing, drawings) using various presentation formats (video and sound installations, compositions, concert-performance).
She conceives her art as a continue investigation on the reality where the artist has to raise questions and doubts in order to capture the hidden subtleties of life and our present condition.
Manuela Barile performed and presented her works in various art centres, galleries, theathres and museum of Portugal, Spain, France and Italy like: ZDB Gallery (Lisbon, Portugal), Villa Franchin (Venice), MARCO –Contemporary Art Museum of Vigo (Spain), MUSAC – Contemporary Art museum of León (Spain), Almazen Gallery (Barcelona, Spain), La Casa Encendida (Madrid, Spain), Centro Huarte – Contemporary Art Center of Navarra (Spain), CAPC - Contemporary Art Museum of Bordeaux, Viriato Theatre (Viseu, Portugal), Guarda Municipal Theatre (Lisbon, Portugal), Santa Clara Gallery (Coimbra, Portugal), etc.
She teaches a workshop on voice and body in the electroacustic space and she directs the free improvisation collective “Colectivo Oficina Sonora de Viseu”.
Manuela Barile is the co-artistic director of Binaural, a Portuguese cultural organization dedicated to the promotion of sound and media arts in a rural context. Binaural runs an artist residency space in Nodar, a small village in the north of Portugal.
Actually she's working in "Locus in quo", a multidisciplinary project about the sense of places.

Bonjour,merci pour le commentaire.C'est difficile de faire de l'art aujourd'hui comme hier ,et il est très difficile d'en vivre,au risque de le détruire,de le diluer,...Il est aussi difficile de ne pas en vivre ,d'utiliser son énergie ailleur,à régler nos problèmes économiques au risque de se perdre.
