J'ai étudié la batterie en autodidacte dans des dizaines de formations, de seize à vingt-cinq ans. De compromis en compromis, de baloches en caf'conc', je flaire l'impasse absurde de la facilité et décide de revendre mon matériel pour acheter une Stratocaster.
Je n'en devins pas absolument "guitariste" pour autant; j'ai poursuivi mon étude rythmique sur ce nouvel instrument, l'utilisant à la manière d'un balafon, ou d'un vibraphone. La "sympathie" des cordes, les glissandi, vibrati, les harmoniques, ou le bending, devenant comme une "étendue supplémentaire".
Mon premier trio (guitare/basse/batterie) se nommait "Los Neutrinos". (Pour en savoir plus, voyez dans le top friends). Dix années de plaisir! En chemin, ils furent remarqués par Elisabeth Wiener (top friends) qui les convia à partager grandes scènes et studios d'enregistrement avec son groupe, "Castafiore Bazooka". Pressentis ensuite par "Limborg", (top friends) qui officie alors aux "keyboards/samples and strategies" autour de voix féminines, et recherche une section rythmique inhabituelle, nous sommes invités pour l'album "Small World" (Tangram-2000). Je suis convié seul pour le suivant, "Zinder"(Origins-2002).
Los Neutrinos s'arrête et je commence à mettre en pratique ce que j'ai appris au contact de Limborg: travailler avec des machines. Je m'atelle à la programation d'un nouveau répertoire chanté avec Reno Simo (top friends); le duo s'appelait "Charlotte Corday".
Puis, je rencontre le guitariste Mark Waldron (top friends) avec qui je pars à l'aventure sur une route musicale non-balisée. Nous débutons en duo avec les machines, puis nous recrutons enfin une rythmique basse/batterie adaptée à l'atypique: Mark E. Peterson et G.Calvin Weston (please!), avec qui nous formons l'actuel quartet "Sweatlodge" (top friends) et ça sue bien, merci!

We were then recognized by Jean-Pierre Limborg (top friends), who, at that time, was managing "keyboards/samples and strategies" around feminine voices, and was looking for an unusual rhythmic section, we were invited on the album "Small World" (Tangram-2000). Afterwards, I was invited alone for the following record, "Zinder" (Origins-2002).
Los Neutrinos split and I began putting in practice what I had learned through Limborg's contact : working with machines. I applied myself to the programing of a new sung repertoire with Reno Simo (top friends); the duet was called "Charlotte Corday".
Then, I meet the guitarist Mark Waldron (top friends) with whom I departed for new adventures on untraveled musical roads. We began a duet with machines, then we recruited, at last, a rhythmic section (bass/drums) adapted to this atypical kick ass music: Mark E. Peterson et G.Calvin Weston (s'il vous plaît !), with whom we now form the current quartet "Sweatlodge" (top friends) and it sweats for sure, thank you!
Manu, dearest! I have missed you quite terribly. I was cleaning the other day and came across that script you had sent me that we were to recite over the phone with one another. You remember it? I then realized how much I missed your sweet letters and listening to your funny French accent.
