Rasputin.... it has been time my friends. A long long time.... and a new spaced out obnoxious band is on the way btw ;). How is things in the Manuscripts camp?
Hey up we're putting out a series of very regular FREE to be on, and FREE to download compilations over the coming months, first one is nearly ready to go, and already collecting for the second one. I would personally love for you to submit a track for these compilations, should be promoted really well by us and all the bands involved. I need an MP3 (preferably 192 kbps), your logo, weblink, song title, and any info you want to include, sending to lovelytimepromotions@gmail.com as soon as possible. Hopefully you're interested... Collective Zine finally reviewed the EP, and it's pretty good!
"Not a keytar in sight. I'm being absolutely serious here, there is not one keytar featured on any of these songs, not even a little one. In actual fact if you like keytars I highly suggest you give this band a miss, because you'll be pretty pissed. However if you're one of those folk that likes their music to sound like it was recorded in a bathtub by angry spiders then you're in luck.
No criticism there, there aren't any From Ashes Rise style, foot not bombs, bike riding, Portland lounge crust punx foibles here. Oh no. After lulling me into a false sense of security with an intro (oh you guys!), this then kicks off in pleasing style, grabs the listener by the hair and proceeds to drag them around the room, making sure that they get bashed into every piece of furniture and coffee table en-route. This is some pretty bleak stuff, all scoured landscapes and defeatist attitudes strung together with disjointed lyrics and a relentless vocal delivery. God definitely hates us all, the macabre steel machines will grind us flat, and the world will revert to that as described in The Road.
If I had a criticism it might be that the songs are a tad slow for me, and with a few exceptions (notably Cerberus) tend to blur together slightly. However it's an impressive start, and I'm sure there will be plenty of tours around with Burning the Prospect, Hammers, and all the other d-beaty types that are surfacing of late"
