Try to define the right moment when something starts to die to be born again.
Learning to draw an apple. Trying to draw it every single day, until getting the point of perfection in shape and shadows... Trying to give to the image the aspect of being alive into the paper. Getting all this before the apple turns dark. This story could be well known by most of the people who study art painting.
Think about the seeds in the white flesh of a fruit like the apple, without oxidation, loss and death, they wouldn't be able to give the roots of a new tree, they wouldn't give the new life that rests inside.
Manzana Oscura (Dark Apple) was created by Banshee in 2006, this project' name tries to reflect the anxiety caused for the fragile existence. Manzana Oscura is a musical experimental project inspired in questions like: Which is the moment when we start to die? Which is the right moment when the reason becomes emotion and the past in future?
...Everything happens in the present, death and rebirth. Music starts when the images and words are not enough.
The original name is Manzana Oscura and not Manzana Obscura because of the obsession of Banshee with computers. OS means (as you may already know) Operative System.
