Have a great week and here is a poem to take you back, or take you there

I RODE DOWN THE LONELY HI-WAY
With the top down, the sounds of the ocean waves mixed with the soul of my 8 track player
The Dells crooned, “The Love We Had Stays On My Mind”
My Blues bled into the dark sky
My eyes were on the road but, I see her at every mile marker, and with every star that sparkled above
I pushed on the gas as my heart raced
    Where am I going?
    Anywhere she might be
Teasing my soul hoping she was headed to me
Whoooo… I took that corner too fast
Slow down and live with the memories
Like when we were lovers in the night
She is sitting on my love
Her hands spread on my chest
    Her lips and eyes smile
    Feeling my love
We were cruising after we had climbed a mountain
I’m watching her mountains rise and fall, and drip on me
She and I create streams that lead to her river
    I hold onto her firm
Whoooo… I almost ran off the road
I’m squeezing the driving wheel with all my might; my hands are numb
I look to the passage seat
I’m alone on this lonely hi-way
I check my seat belt, adjust my mirror, and try to adjust to the fact…she is gone
I turn the 8 track up, and hit repeat…again, as
The Dells croon, “The Love We Had Stays On My Mind”
I hit the gas and head home

    IT TAKES TIME

    by: Trevor Claiborn

The best things in life don’t come fast or free,

But sometimes my impatience makes me cheat.

Though I know I’m wrong, trying to rush things along,

I get mad when outcomes are incomplete.

The purpose I serve is much more than my own,

And Nature’s clock ticks much slower than mine.

I can gripe and pout or just wait the thing out,

For the Most High works on It’s own time.

I can have love, prosperity, and peace

And all the things that make it joyful to live.

Sometimes money can’t pay for those treasures—

Only my patience and my willingness to give.

We are all farmers of the crops of our destiny,

Semi-conscious of the psychological seeds we sow.

So to yield the best return, we must learn

To give things time and let them grow.

    How Strong Are You?

Surprisingly, most don't realize their true inner strength. Not until their backs are up against a wall and they've completely run out of options. For some, initially panic sets in, desperation and lack of faith. Some even find themselves settling for less due to their fears, insecurities or non-productive, addictive desires. What if your life began with complete uncertainty and your nature persuaded you to take unnecessary risk? You know, Rebellious!" What if your kindness was constantly being taken for granted? What if what you wanted most, didn't even seem it was within your grasp, and you had enough to get by, but never enough to get ahead. What if you were humiliated, degraded, abused and lead astray? What if you had it all, lost it all, and then amazingly, re-gained it all back again? What if you were Marie Antionette? What if you were A Girl Named Job? (For clarification purposes, Job is pronounced Job as in the Biblical Character, not one's employment.)

One never knows his or her true strength, until they are put to the test. Do you have the endurance of A Girl Named Job?

A Girl Named Job. The new, self published release by Marie Antionette. Readers have called it "Inspiring," "Refreshingly Candid," and "a page turning read that grasp your attention from the beginning." So what are you waiting for? This is no ordinary biography, A Girl Named Job defines the term "tell all!"

    THE HOPE OF TOMMORROW
    BY: TREVOR CLAIBORN

I can’t take back what I’ve done in the past
Nor can I retaliate on all that’s been done to me,
At best I can learn from experiences I’ve had
Shake the chains of regret and be free,

The future has its own set of tests and trials
So why dwell upon yesterdays woes,
My road only changes if I’m willing to change it
The door of opportunity is never closed.

I must free up my psychological arms
To make space for better things to come
I should dispose of the junk from the past
And seek the source where all natural treasures come from.

We are the wardens of the prison in our minds
Condemned by guilt, regret and sorrow,
But I stay at peace, when I learn to release-
Yesterday, and appreciate the hope of tomorrow!
