About M A R A S

MARAS in general is a black metal band from Gevgelija - Macedonia. They are formed in 2003 and until now have five official releases: 2003 - Orlova planina (demo); 2004 - Harvest of the Firefern (ambient); 2006 - Hellfire's Trinity (split with Vinterthrone and Tremula); 2007 - Through the Lands of Ancient Makedon (split with Xerion); 2008 - Raskol (full-length). Their music is a fusion between the raw sounds of black metal mixed with Macedonian authentic folk elements and many other kinds of music. With their ideology based on Slavic paganism, the mystery of life and death and epic historical themes, Maras is the first band of that kind in Macedonia. They have played with well known bands like: Ancient Rites, Besatt, Inferno, Adultery (R.I.P)..., spreading their idea for a type of "cosmopolitan" unity of all heathen world, anti-nationalism, and eternal war against the christianization of the pagans in Europa.
In December, 2008, after five years of existence, MARAS released their debut album "Raskol" - a declaration for split between the blindness of christianity and the powerful paganism.

These cassettes will be commissioned works (not by content, but by payment) for individuals. If John Smith in London, England wants his own Zebulon Kosted album, I will make a 45 minute album (one side of a 90 minute tape), 2 hand drawn mini posters, I will name the album after him (Zebulon Kosted - John Smith), and the fan will retain all rights to the recording (for use of any future release, sampling, or broadcasting rights). One copy of the album will remain in my personal collection, and one will be sent to the customer, so that the only copy that will be in circulation will be John Smiths copy! Each album is available for the ridiculously low price of $10 (not including shipping), and will be shipped in its completed form no later than 6 weeks from the date of purchase!!!
