In height order (ascending):
Maddie Wilson
Maddie Bates
Gabrielle Beasley
Maddie W spent a large part of her childhood (fruitlessly) aiming to become either Delia Smith* or Michael Palin. She is noted for her atrocious sense of direction.
Maddie B's main passions in life are ukuleles, Neighbours and Twixes. She tends to cough after drinking hot lemon.
Gabrielle was genuinely disappointed on her eleventh birthday when she didn't get a letter inviting her to join Hogwarts. She never tried using her pencil as a wand though. No. Ahem.
*Maddie would like to publicly register her disappointment in Delia Smith's latest endeavours with frozen mashed potato from a packet etc. This was not the Delia she aimed to emulate as a child, no sir.
The Marauders are a three-piece ukulele outfit from Croydon, the self-proclaimed Manhattan of the south. They've strummed vaguely as a triumvirate for a few years now, but only rarely remember to do things like rehearse or perform. But it happens sometimes.
You used to be able to download the tracks above, until myspace apparently removed that option, for reasons we cannot begin to guess at or understand. (Or maybe we could if we could be bothered, but that's beside the point.) As a result, we get on average one charming message per month asking if there is any way to get hold of the songs (some, amazingly, even offering money; we've clearly missed a trick), and so it seems sensible to just put these links up for everybody to see. Should you wish to have these electronic renderings of our voices in your own hands, or at least on your own computer, go to these links. Not content with disabling the download option, myspace apparently won't let us code these as hyperlinks, so you'll have to copy and paste the urls into your browser.

We're back at the Ukelele Cabaret on the 23rd of June! We're on at about 9.30, so you can even get lost and rock up really late and still get to see us. Amazing.

Cars // Space Oddity (2007)
Charmless Man // Whistle For The Choir (band slightly depleted, 2008)
In a development that could reasonably be described as 'unsuspected' we recorded heaps of songs a while back. Some of them have been unleashed upon our profile.
That's all for now. We'll keep you posted if we do anything else interesting. If we go to the loo, we'll be sure to let you know.
thanks for the add. Actually found you via youtube when looking up a video for Space Oddity and I really dug your cover of it. Can't wait to hear more and hopefully an album can't be too far into the future (fingers crossed)
Please check out our new comedic “vampire bankers” music video. The guy who directed this also directed Madonna’s first music vid. We think it’s pretty funny. It’s available as a free mp3 download on http://www.ukejackson.com
Thanks for being our friend! Uke Jackson and the NY Ukulele Ensemble
That's AWESOME!!! Thank you so much. If you ever find yourself in Montana and are in need of a drummer,....er...um....well, thank you anyways! Keep us posted on anything new...
Hi, noticed you were online and thought i'd say that i have your version of 'whistle...' on my walkman and it always takes my breath away when it comes up in a shuffle. Thank you. ukemonkey x
Thanks for the ad! Enjoyed listening to your music - great versions and you have a wonderful voice! If you have a chance give us a listen and a comment of what you think of our songs. Glad to make your cyber-acquaintance! Cheers!
Thanks for the answer, Maddie! I didn't know the Fratellis, but "Whistle..." is a beautiful song. And yours "Colourblind Blues" has such a nice swing! I was talking about you to my guitar player and he asked me to say to you that we could host the Marauders if someday you desire to play in Fortaleza. We had an experience like that last year between the choir we used to sing and a french-german one that came here. It's just an idea in case you have plans to conquer the world! By the way, congrats for your work again and keep in music.
I was looking for David Bowie's "Space Oddity" covers on you tube and I found your video and it took me to here. I'd like to say I loved the video mix of simplicity and quality and so the music itself. I liked the other songs I could listen here too. Did you write your own songs? Congrats for the work!
