"Marble Fairy's sound packs a disco-funk punch" - David White - BBC Introducing
Marble Fairy will tantalise your ears, wear down your dancing shoes and make your heart pound with disco love! Created in early 2009, Marble Fairy is a five-piece electro-powerpop extravaganza. Bugbear Bookings described their songs as "Big brash pop tunes given a grimed up electro makeover... a female fronted electro-punk Pet Shop Boys"
Influenced by the likes of Blondie, Duran Duran, Pet Shop Boys and Soulwax, Marble Fairy delivers thunderous riffs, colossal grooves and explosive hooks so catchy your ears will barely believe their luck!
Fronted by the inimitable Molly Weaver, an outrageously loveable electro nymph with a surprisingly huge voice for one so delectably small, Marble Fairy's live show is tight, bright and mighty! Their London debut in November saw Marble Fairy headline the Barfly/UBR night at The Fly, New Oxford Street; "Astonishingly strong set and presentation, they're a 'must see’".
In October the band recorded tracks for their forthcoming EP at Modern World Studios in Gloucester. They spent three days recording and co-producing five sparkly pop crossover tunes with Olivier Behzadi. The tracks are currently being mixed by Dave Bascombe (Goldfrapp / Ladyhawke / Kylie / Soulwax).............
