On that fateful Autumn evening the city of Leeds was engulfed by a thick plume of smoke. The city was on fire and under siege. The walls had been breached and the streets bared witness to hellish scenes of mass violence and wreckless bloodshed, shops were being plundered and raised to the ground. Men, women and children were being butchered. The sound of screams and violent groans echoed around every street corner. The pavements and gutters were running red with streams of blood. It was a night of barbarity and chaos which the city had never before seen. But as the City lay besieged and in flames, in a grand old theatre in the heart of the ravaged city stood on stage a defiant artist who declared to his audience: "Let's make music to the fires of Leeds". And so into the fires and carnage of the night as the old decadant theatre burned and crumbled this singer with a smile on his face and tears in his eyes gave the performance of his life. Undetered by the prospect of imminent death and Lost in the romance of the night the audience cheered with joy and threw flowers onto the stage. In the voice of the singer and beauty of the songs the audience had their oasis where they could escape the hell outside. In this grand old theatre, if only for a moment Art was to triumph over war. Beauty was to triumph over destruction...And on that night of beauty amid brimstone, What become of the artist and his loving audience is known only to the sole survivor.... Ask him, He's the local nutter who stands outside McDonalds on Albion street everyday singing Say Hello Wave Goodbye. lol

Great Concert in Leeds Marc.

Great night last night at the the Round House.  First time ever at a solo gig, seen you  appearing with Jools Holland at Southend twice.  Had a really good evening, great 'variety' of music.  Even the support was different and interesting.  Enjoy the rest of the tour.  Look forward to the next CD coming out.
