Marc Curcio and his Devil Friends

Bio:

Marc Curcio (originally from Washington DC and San Francisco) currently lives in Barcelona Spain where he plays in his bands THE GANGSTERS OF LOVE, THE LOWDOWN. BANNISTER RIDE, PRANK and THE NEAR DEATH ENSEMBLE. He also has several projects and side things going with fellow Barcelona musicians and singers such as AMANDA JAYNE and SINEAD SAVAGE and sometimes plas with his friends when they come through town, friends like PAULA O'ROURKE (ERIC BURDON), ERIC MCFADDEN (ERIC BURDON, GEORGE CLINTON), SHAUNNA HALL (GEORGE CLINTON, 4 NON BLONDES) , PAT MACDONALD and others. But lets wind back the clock a bit shall we? Marc was born and raised inWashington D.C. where he took part in the infamous DC punk and rockNroll scene from '82 to 92. Early bands were PURE EVIL, JIMI SIN, KILL CITY, and WORD MADE FLESH (those bands contained members of IRON CROSS, BLACK MARKET BABY, SCREAM, MALAFICE, HOLY ROLLERS and a few more. Then he escaped and moved to San Francisco in 1993. There he helped form alt-country rockers BIG BLUE HEARTS which were on GEFFEN RECORDS. Eventually he went back to his rockNroll roots with both THE BADASSTARDS and THE SISTERKISSERS, two infamous San Francisco bands. After both bands self destructed he started THE MASONIC SUPERGROUP and ASSTRAY, both featuring members of prominent San Francisco bands such as LIAR and BIRDSAW. He also played in THE SURREAL AVENGERS, TINY and few other side projects, along with recording and playing with his solo band THE SUICIDE SINGERS which have included members of LIAR, TINY, THE SILO'S, VIOLET DISCORD and others. .. .. ..
