Whenever anyone ask me what my favorite season is I always have the same answer...Football Season! Yes, I know it a little odd for a chick to dig football the way I do, but I love it! Most Saturday's in the fall are spent in front of the TV enjoying Auburn University Football and my Sunday's are spent either in front of the TV or in the Superdome watching the New Orleans Saints! I have been a proud Saints season ticket holder for 5 years. Besides football I stay very active in the community with my work with the Young Women's Civic Club. We are an organization of around 30 women between the ages of 21 to 42 who raise money and awareness for the USA Children's and Women's Hospital and the USA Mitchell Cancer Center. For more info about our Club click here. Through Civic Club I am also enjoying my second year of being a Mobile Azalea Trail Maid Adviser. For me being a Trail Maid was one of the most wonderful experiences and I hope to share that experience with my group of girls this year. Other than my civic and football duties I enjoy reading (See my book suggestions below), studying anything historical, cooking, exercising and spending time with my family and friends.
Music
I enjoy many different types of music including The Beatles (My favorite band of all time.), Disturbed, Mandy Moore, Josh Groban, Slipknot, StoneSour, Elton John, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Steely Dan, Rascal Flatts, Alice in Chains, STP, Red Hot Chilli Peppers,Tantric, just about any rock from the 90's and a little classical. The list really could go on and on.
Movies
Twilight Trailer
Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, John Adams Mini-Series, Gone With the Wind, all of the Kevin Smith film's (Jay and Silent Bob, Clerks, Mallrats, etc.), all the Harry Potter films, A Walk To Remember, The Notebook, Napoleon Dynamite, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, The Patriot, Half Baked, Ever After, Sixteen Candles, Steel Magnolias, Notting Hill, Love Actually, Little Miss Sunshine, The Holiday, Because I Said So and The Departed, The Simpson's Movie, Hairspray, Knocked Up, Starter for 10, The Haunted Airman, How To Be, Juno, The Dark Knight (RIP Heath) and Becoming Jane. (I am sure as of 11/21/08 "Twilight" will be added to this list.)
Television
Pretty much the only 3 shows I watch on a weekly basis are The Office, Pushing Daisies and Big Love. I love The History Channel and I occasionally watch the Style Network and any of the Discovery Channels. I just don't get to veg out much anymore.
Books
"Goblet of Fire" and "The Deathly Hallows" are my favorites for the Harry Potter series but I do enjoy them all, The "Twilight" Saga by Stephenie Meyer, "The Host" by Stephenie Meyer, anything by Jane Austen, "Angels and Demons" and "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown, "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" by Mitch Albom, "The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood", "Little Altars Everywhere" and "The Secret Lives of Bees". That is just a few...
