Marcela Manso was born in Aveiro, Portugal, in July of 1980.
Is graduated in

Centro de Investigação e Estudos da Volte-Face - Contemporary Medal
since 2005.
Has lived in
Stuttgart
from July until December of 2008 working as a
photographer freelancer
, among other things. In that Summer made the illustrations for the audio cd cover and book for children Jimmy das kleine Känguru - auf Reisen by Sascha Rathey.
From November of 2007 to May of 2008 has done the Leonardo Da Vinci Program in Stuttgart, Germany, working as an intern in the Werkstatthaus (Stuttgarter Jugendhaus E.V.), developing an artistic project and learning different artistic techniques, working in the ceramics, metal, animation films, etching and sewing workshops and participating in activities that occurred in the house with adults, children and youngsters.
In 2007 worked as an assistant of the plastic artists Robert Melee and Olaf Breuning in the realization of big and small scale plaster sculptures, during the stay of this artists in Lisbon, and assistant of the painter Mª Teresa Pais in the moulding and finishings of the medal celebrating the 50 years of Grupo Coral of Torres Novas.
In 2006 participated in the conception, realization and assembly of the urban installation Álvaros & Chairs, group project with the sculptors
