MARCEL BELTRÁN - COMPOSITOR info@marcelbeltran.com Comienza su formación musical a la edad de siete años en Punta del Este, Uruguay. Desde 1993 actua como pianista en diversos escenarios de Punta del Este, compartiendo actuaciones en el El Correo Bar junto al compositor argentino Charly García y el guitarrista David Lebon. En 1993 en Buenos Aires, Argentina integra como pianista la formaciòn de ‘Los Errantes’, con los que realiza grabaciones en los estudios del Abasto, actuando en muchísimos escenarios del ambiente porteño, actuando también con la formación de ‘Los Errantes’ en el verano de 1994 en Punta del Este, en 1995 regresa a Montevideo, Uruguay, e ingresa en la Escuela Universitaria de Música de Montevideo cursando diferentes materias musicales. Paralelamente toma clases particulares de piano junto al maestro Homero Ramos Millán y en octubre de 1996 se presenta como solista en piano en el teatro Ateneo de Montevideo interpretando obras de Beethoven, Chopin, Bach y Durand. En diciembre de 1997 se presenta junto al Ensemble Roots en el Popular festival de Música del Velódromo Municipal de Montevideo, Uruguay. En 1998 integra la formación estable del Coro Municipal de Montevideo como barítono presentándose juntoa a la Orquesta Sinfónica de Uruguay en los principales escenarios de Montevideo y del interior del país, a su vez integra como pianista la formación estable de un grupo de soul tocando junto a los mas importantes músicos de la escena Argentina y Uruguaya asi como también con el grupo mexicano Maná. En 1998 toma clases con el pianista de jazz uruguayo José Reinoso (egresado de Berklee College of Music -Boston, Estados Unidos-) , en 1999 viaja a Buenos Aires, integra como barítono el coro de la Iglesia ‘Nuestra Señora del Pilar’ y cursa estudios en la Escuela de Música Contemporánea (Berklee International Network) Graduándose en el año 2001. En el año 2001 ingresa en las carreras de Composición y Dirección Orquestal en la UCA (Universidad Católica Argentina), paralelamente continua componiendo y realizando grabaciones con Diego Aloe ( primera guitarra del Grupo argentino ‘Cienfuegos’ liderado por Sergio Rotman -ex integrantes de Los Fabulosos Cadillacs-). Durante los años 2003 - 2004 realiza Estudios Superiores en Composición como Becario en Madrid con el Compositor español de la generación intermedia : David del Puerto ( Premio Nacional de Música 2005). El 22 de abril del 2005, Marcel Beltrán da su 1er concierto en Madrid en la sala Zanzíbar, luego el 12 de junio se presenta en El Cafè Libertad 8. El 2 de noviembre se presenta como músico invitado en la Sala Chesterfield de Madrid en la final del concurso DYC. Actualmente 2008, Marcel Beltrán continúa componiendo en la ciudad de Madrid.

MARCEL BELTRÁN - COMPOSER info@marcelbeltran.com He started his musical education at the age of seven years in Punta del Este, Uruguay. Since 1993 he works as a composer and pianist and plays rock music, in diverse concerts of Punta del Este, sharing his performances in the ‘El Correo Bar’ with the Argentinian Composer and musician ‘Charly García’ and the guitarrist ‘David Lebon’. In 1993 in Buenos Aires, Argentina he takes part of the group called ‘Los Errantes’ as it’s pianist and makes recordings in the Studio ‘El Abasto Records’, acting in very many scenes of the Buenos Aires scene, also acting with Los Errantes in the summer of 1994 in Punta del Este.
In 1995 he returns to Montevideo, Uruguay, and starts studing in the National University ( School of Music ) of Montevideo attending different musical matters. Meanwhile he takes private piano lessons with the uruguayan pianist Homero Ramos Millán. In october of 1996 appears like solista in piano, in ‘El Ateneo’ theater of Montevideo, playing works of Beethoven, Chopin, Bach and Durand.
In December of 1997 takes part with the ‘Roots Ensemble’ in the Popular festival of Music of the Municipal Velodrome of Montevideo, Uruguay.
In 1998 takes part with the stable formation, of the Municipal Choir of Montevideo like a baritone, appearing in the main scenes of Montevideo and of the Interior of Uruguay next to the Orchestra Sinfonica of Uruguay and solistas of the ‘Sodre’, he also takes part as a pianist in the stable formation of a group of soul playing next to some of the most important musicians of Uruguay and Argentina. He also plays with the Mexican group called ‘Maná’ .
In 1998 takes lessons with the pianist and uruguayan composer José Reinoso (ex-graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Boston, United States).
In 1999 Marcel Beltrán moves to Buenos Aires, and takes part as a baritone in the choir of the Church ‘Nuestra Señora del Pilar' of La Recoleta; and starts his career in the School of Contemporary Music (Berklee International Network of Buenos Aires ) He Graduates in 2001.
Also in the year 2001 he enters in the Career of Composition and Orquestal Direction in the UCA (Catholic University of Argentina). Meanwhile he always is composing and making recordings with Diego Aloe (first guitar of the Argentine Group .. Cienfuegos' by Sergio Rotman - ex- members of the ‘Fabulosos Cadillacs’ -).
During the years 2003 – 2004 takes superior studies in Composition with an Scholarship in Madrid with the Spanish Composer of the intermediate generation: David del Puerto (national Prize of Composition 2005 Madrid - Spain). The 22 of april of 2005, Marcel Beltrán has his first concert in Madrid, at Zanzíbar. The 12 of june he gives another concert in Cafè Libertad 8. The 2nd of november he is invited to play the piano for the Closing Concert at Sala Chesterfield in Madrid, for the closing of the DYC Contest. Since 2008, Marcel Beltrán continues composing and working in the city of Madrid.
